@@markbro4427 Carl used to rehearse with us in Nick hughes when we were young bucks starting out near Cardiff before Persian Risk. Phenomenal voice and was quite a guitarist as well!

There are detail differences, of course (for example, his vibrato is a touch wider and more operatic, kind of like a young Bruce Dickinson), but what a tremendous voice he has, especially for a man then in his late fifties... Never heard of him before so I'm going to have to do some digging and listening!

Just imagine. Someone in the band said, "hey let's cover Rainbow 'Stargazer." And the rest of the band said, "sure. Let's do it." Any group of musicians that would even attempt it has my full respect. But then, to pull it off like that? Incredible.

Great Song and greatly performed here. This is besides "Kill the King" one of my favorite Rainbow songs. I made a full sheet music transcription of the drum part of "Stargazer" and the Rainbow song "Gates of Babylon". I am happy to share it with other drummers if needed, just ask me.
