I was 17 when this game came out. I wanted to play it but I was too broke to buy it so I rented it from Blockbuster. Came home, and started playing. During the prologue, my grandfather entered my room at the exact moment her nun dress is torn, he called my name but then we both became "distracted" watching the cut-scene. After it ended and the prologue ends, my grandfather just told me "Cool game, be sure that your grandmother does not see you playing that". Then we both laughed for a bit.

Bayonetta is female empowerment personified she is comfortable in her looks and sexuality and is not afraid to express it due to her over confidence honestly if you really think about it she is literally a strong confident independent woman who doesn't care what anyone else thinks and it having fun expressing herself. I am considered a choir boy and a massive prude by the people that know me I was very worried about getting this game originally for obvious reasons but I wanted it for the over the top action as Devil May Cry was awesome and has just a much over the top action and this game appealled to me because of that but I came to respect Bayonetta for her confidence and her attitude of don't care what you think I do my own thing and have fun doing it she is hot and she knows it and knows you know it too and don't care if you watch or not in a crowd or in a desert she acts the same. Best thing about her is that she does it all with class dispite all the overtly sexual actions she keeps it classy all the time she is never lewd or dirty elegant graceful while being sexy best of all worlds.

I like how she even intimidates Luca with her sexuality. She straddles him for her own pleasure and not to make him feel aroused. Even the way she says she enjoys making babies intimidates him a bit. She uses him as the sex object in a lot of ways, despite the focus being on her body. Even when it comes to her body, it's mostly her whole body shown rather than any specific part, which makes her come across as less objectified and more a whole person that just happens to be very sexy.

Honestly- This video made me realize that Bayonetta is straight up just Dante from DMC but female. Yes Dante isn't exactly known for sex appeal...but Bayonetta is a complete and total goofball for half of this and I will hear no arguments to the contrary. The difference between the two is how they use agency. As a character, Bayonetta uses her sexuality deliberately, in one part because she explicitly likes to feel this way about herself, in the other part because she uses it to confuse her enemies sometimes. Meanwhile, Stellar Blade's approach is basically a video game equivalent of anime panty shots. Whereas the camera in Bayonetta only emphasises her deliberate movements to make them look even more outrageous, in Stellar Blades it pretty much leers and peeks at her body in situations and scenes in which there's pretty much nothing "sexy" is going on at all.

Jeanne was brought up as a family sister while Bayonetta only flirts with and eventually has a kid to Luka. She also flirts heavily with all male type angels/demons not female ones.
