I have always liked footwell lights. My new 2020 F 150 XLT regular cab just has that small courtesy light between the visors. These are just what I wanted. Seeing how I ordered a velocity blue truck. I got the blue LED's. For $80.00 I don't think you could go wrong. I ordered them because of this video. Can't wait to get them and put them in.

The hardest part is getting the tape peeled back to tap the wire. Ford put cloth tape on the connecter and it is tough to peel back from the connecter before the electrical tape. I did mine on a dark cloudy day. Had I had better light it would have been easier. But it's done and they look nice. I'm glad I found and bought them.

Ordered front footwell lights for my 2016 f150. They work great pretty east install except for the wire taps. They were both too big didn’t get a good connection….. used different tap connector I had for smaller gauge. Looks great 👍

Hi Michael - thanks for the feedback. We include a few in the bag - the blue ones are for 2009-2014 trucks, and the red ones are for the 2015+. That may be the issue. Thanks for letting us know, I will make sure we check the sizes provided to ensure a good fit.

Should these also work when the upper console dome light switch is pushed? Don't want to purchase if they only work with door open/fob.

Can I install both the bed lighting and this footwell? I see that they both have the same ground and tap wiring process

Is there a way to install these to stay on while driving? Would you have to wire them to a switch? Or is there a certain wire to tap in to make them stay on

You could, but they are fairly bright so that is a consideration you want to think about for safety reasons. You would need to locate a circuit that operates during the times you prefer.
