Ok wait i have a whole thing about this. The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals is the title of the Starkid show. However, I believe the title of the show the aliens are doing is different, especially seeing as Paul is not in the title. Near the end of the song there's a layering of lyrics, Hidgens singing "You gotta believe in something, paul." Now. If this is in fact the title of the show the aliens are doing it would be brilliant because the first song of TGWDLM serves as an opening number for both shows. And another thing to consider is the fact it's Hidgens singing that line. He's a theatre hoe, of COURSE he would be the one referencing the show he's in. End scene.

Ok origin story: I rewatched every Starkid musical like a month or two ago and I was like "wow they say fuck and what the fuck so often you could put together a variety of 'what the fuck's without any of the words being from the same scene" and then I kind of paid attention to how often words were used in a particular musical that I've heard in another one (and i noticed ridiculously many, and that without really focusing on it).
