East Midlands Railway Meridian Class 222s
222/0 - Built in 2003/05 - Five or Seven Car Units
222/1 - Built in 2005 - Transferred from First Hull Trains

Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Leicester railway station is a mainline railway station in the city of Leicester in Leicestershire, England. The station is managed by East Midlands Railway and owned by Network Rail. The station is served by CrossCountry and East Midlands Railway services. Leicester station was opened in 1840 by the Midland Counties Railway, and rebuilt in 1894 and 1978. It is on the Midland Main Line, which runs from London St Pancras to Sheffield and Nottingham. It is 99 miles 7 chains north of London St Pancras.

I certainly did. What a fantastic job 125Group have done with 43159 - the livery took me right back. It’s also rare to get two HST Powercars with different engines together now so that was great to hear too. Glad you loved it too 😃👍🏻

Took me back a bit too, the first HST I ever saw was the EMT one, my dad purposely stopped by Loughborough Station to see if anything will pass for me to see before we shot up to road to the GCR.

Never been to Leicester but I do like the Class 170 in East Midlands Railway livery as well the Class 180 Adelante and Class 222 Meridian which are soon to be replaced by the Class 810 Aurora IETs from next year.
