Starling Invasion In Hunt of Mealworms!

Lately there has been a flock of young starlings visiting with the knowledge the new feeder will be stocked with mealworms. They make a racket but I quite like feeding them as they’re surprisingly on the red list for conservation and are clever, if not mildly greedy little birds!
After putting down a cheeky ring of worms on the table and leaving the big feeder almost empty, it wasn’t long before a hungry flock arrived - but this morning perhaps more than usual making quite a noise and producing a sight and a half, over 20 birds on the table and a similar amount scrabbling around the hanging feeders!
With the 10x sped up footage of their several minute visit you can see how quickly the food on the table is gobbled up. Once the mealworms had gone, the numbers thinned out and a collared dove decided it was time to get their fair share of grub and saw off the rest of the starlings with an abrupt arrival!
