I can not understand why Starlink wouldn’t take into account that the vast majority of rural homes have 10-12” over hangs with 4-6” gutters. They need a pipe extension to go up passed the edge for the dish to clear the house and/or a mount extension to come out far enough to not have obstruction from the house.

Exactly my problem. I have a 16" overhang and 6" gutter. It would be nice to have a sliding arm section on the mount to get past the gutters. Now I have to go by some pipe and build my own mount.

What is the stand-off length this sets the mount beyond the wall? I cannot find that in any literature.

I wonder if you could drill through the plate on the wall portion to get the wire into the house without every coming out of the arm?

It can if you have a larger overhang like my roof, yes. In my case, I actually switched to a short wall mount that is directly mounted to the fascia board. Hoping to have that tutorial/review soon!

Yes, it includes the lag bolts needed to secure it to a wall.

My overhang is 20" from the fascia to the wall. Is this long mount long enough for me?

I don't think it would work well for a 20" overhand.

they advertise 50ft of cable for set up but they actually give you 75 ft is that correct?

They recently changed the included cable from 75 ft to 50 ft. So if you buy a kit now, you'll get the 50' cable. The 75' and 150' lengths are available to purchase in the Starlink shop if needed.

They did not send me 75 feet of cable. I think they changed it to 50 feet. My cable barely reached from the office where my computer equipment is located to where my dish is mounted. I tried before I mounted my dish, to find the best location using the stand that they sent me. Tested it for 4 days before officially mounting it and the best location was at the furthest point naturally, it would have to be. SO I found and extension kit which is usually used if a critter bites through your wires and that nifty wire comes with Ethernet RJ45 connections built in (which is pretty awesome) and covers over those connections. I actually didn't need it, but it was good to have as I tried several different things to get the best location and fastest speed possible. I didn't bother with the stupid app find the clear sky unobstructed view and all of that garbage. I have 2 eyes in my head for a reason. I can see North and I can see where there is no trees. I guess they wanted this to be able to be installed by everyone no matter your tech skills which is fine.

I must be privileged I don't need a stud finder my house is made of Brick. haha. I just need a Masonry drill bit and a Hammer drill good to go sir. My biggest problem is right now I have a small blockage where my starlink is currently mounted and I need to get it clear of the Eave so that it gets a full clear view of the sky. I am not sure what to do because the mount is at full extension. I did not buy the official Starlink Long mount because I did not believe it would work on my house. I bought a different mount which was way easier to install but it is full extension and will not clear the obstruction.

I don't understand why the top of the mount is exposed, it's just going to collect water and crap in there and be a pain to clean. The top should be covered I think.

100% agree! Any water is caught and directed toward the house.

And about the LONG WALL MOUNT do you know if it can be used in extreme climates, I live in a place with very strong winds capable of knocking down large branches, and I am afraid that my starlink could blow away?

@@ignacio0075 The pivot mount bolts to the top of the flashing mount. The flashing mount just provides a more water resistant way of installing to a shingle roof. So you need both if you decide to do the flashing mount. The long wall mount is capable of handling strong winds, as long as you properly install it.
