Starlink Mini alternate power setup

This is how I power my Starlink Mini using a Dewalt tool battery

I read that the Starlink Mini cable uses 5.5MM x 2.1MM connector, not the 5.5MM x 2.5MM that you purchased. Your center pin socket being 2.5MM may barely be making contact.

Seems like I saw something about that also. That being said, it works well and I've had no issues after about 25 hours of use.

@@Technikfreak11 Then why does a 5.5mm x 2.1mm fit? In what universe does a 2.5mm pin fit a 2.1mm socket?

​@sportcoupe2 the pin contacts in the female side are spring tabs, so I suppose it's possible.

Just be careful. Dewalt batteries do not have low voltage cutout in the battery.

I wonder if you could use o-rings on that barrel connecter that goes into the starlink mini to help seal it off?

I imagine you could. Or use silicone to make a seal.

20v 4ah battery lasts about 3.5 hours.
