I feel Ike I am just scratching the surface of the ways this mount and dish can be used. Thanks for the comment. I really love this solution. 😊

Cannot thank you enough for making a solid mount for this awesome dish. I am glad you are including Nyloc nuts with the orders in the future. People can be assured they will have an amazing mount for their portable link to the internet wherever they go. 😊

❤ Great work around to keep connected when one goes off grid and its adventure time. Thanks so much for sharing we are similar though we use the Gen3 and normally keep it in our Savage travel case unless we want in motion or we are in a camp spot longer than 24hrs.

Starlink is a very powerful tool. Glad to hear you are liking the Gen3 dish. It is amazing to be out in the middle of nowhere and still have connection if I need it.

There is so much information on the app. I have not looked into the power consumption but will check it out. Will be looking forward to seeing you soon!

So anyone can lift it up with lock attached, and unscrew the eyelet with lock still on. 🤨

Would be very cumbersome but could be done. Probably will add another lock and eye to the other side of the handle to prevent that. Thanks for the comment!!! Don't take my Starlink mini before I have a chance to remedy it 😀Just as a side note I was cutting new trailer chains to length with my 18v angle grinder with a cutting wheel and it cut like butter in a matter of moments, so I guess safety measures are there to have the robber go to an easier target.

Really enjoyed your video and setup, just ordered all the items you listed to do the same setup on our Storyteller. One question though. At the 12V oujtlet on the roof I assume you plugged in an ATP female connector. They come with a pigtail. I assume this is spliced into your SAE connector leading to the barrel where inside there is another splice to the Starlink power cable? Two splices in total or just one? Thanks for producing this video.

I switched the wire in the ATP connector to the SAE extension cable, although this was a bit of a pain. Here is a video to show how. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6S6nWdod7WZmKc Going back I probably would had just connected the wires out of the pigtail to my black and red wires of the SAE extension cable. This is the connector that I use to unplug and to plug it in on the SAE side near the location of the dish. This part is outside of the waterproof housing. Inside the waterproof housing I connected the SAE cable/ 2.1 mm female barrel connector to the Starlink style cable. I used some silicone on the end with the two flat cables after I tightened it down to keep it waterproof. Then simply plug the Starlink style cable with the two gaskets into the mini. You are all set for an awesome system. Just got back from Moab and used it on the trip and it worked great. Even through some crazy rain/ wind on the way home.

Checked the Starlink app to see the draw and it is at about 20 watts. We are on the road. My wife is listening to Pandora and I am watching KZbin. Just to clarify she is driving. I have a few other things running in the van such as tool battery chargers/fridge so there was likely something else drawing at the time. The Storyteller battery lasts days without a high idle/ driving.

You're pulling over 100w with just the small dish? Ouch. I see others with gen 2 converted to 12v and an aftermarket router, at under 40w. Are you sure the 100w is just the dish/router? I see other sites listing the Starlink Mini at 15-40w.

You're using 100 watts! My mini draws less than 30 watts even running you tube videos. 😜

@@brotherkith I did not remember I had other things drawing power at the time. I checked the Starlink app and it draws less than 20 watts. This is with both Pandora and KZbin running while driving. It really does sip energy. Thanks for the comment.

Most likely its the fridge drawing about 70w on top of the Mini.

@@ecojigs I think you are probably right about the draw. Need to keep that Topo Chico ice cold for a moments notice of thirst. I love the volta battery that gives me days of power and a good nights sleep running the air conditioner.
