Thank you for this video. I just got my Starlink system in the mail. I purchased the same bracket to mount the dish on my truck. I'm not an RV person. I'm more of an overlander 4x4 type. I planned on starlink being part of my setup. I was a little confused about how the whole thing mounted up. You did a great job explaining that.

Nice mount but I'm concerned about the small footprint and fastener area relative to the large surface area of the Gen 3 dish mounting to the thin roofing plywood common in many modern RVs. I would expect a larger footprint would make for a more secure mount for a vehicle traveling at highway speeds.

I'd recommend screwing the mount into a wooden stringer

Good update, but I'm kind of waiting for the mini-dish to come out. Do you have any updates on that?

All we know is that it was recently approved for in motion use as well. When it's released, we'll have a story out.

I'm seeing some aftermarket magnetic mounts for the dishes, would that work good?

There are many mounting options out there on the market - just depends on your needs as to which is right for your installation.

Do you know how tall it sits? I want to know if it will be taller than my maxxair fan.

Hi! Do you have the full dimensions of it when it’s connected to the mount? I’m particularly interested in the height, I need to know if it will fit under my roof bars 👍

You can actually download a CAD file from Starlink if you need super-precise measurements. But do be aware that rooftop bars might block some signal - Starlink likes a clear view of the entire sky.

@@MobileInternetResourceCenter I would love to know what the distances are that the mount holes are from each other. For example, would four 1.69" diameter circular magnets fit ?
