Outstanding use for such a system. For the price, this is going to provide a LOT more off-grid capabilities than previous satellite based communications tools

Great videos man, I've been working with Starlinks in Ukraine where they have really rapidly adapted them for purpose with new power supplies, mounts, protection, camo, etc.

Amazing, I have been very glad to see all of the innovation and adaptability of the people working with these Starlinks in Ukraine. Nice work!

Love my set up! I work within Wildland fire and thought many times this year about comms issues we run into. I wish I would brought it with me to work a couple times and demonstrated how it works. One day I’d like to fly UAS on fires and having one of these in a truck bed would be a game changer for uploading information.

Absolutely! This is definitely changing the game for first response in the backcountry

Excellent video. Implementing multiple data and comm paths is very prudent. I would highly doubt StarLink would be functional during an EMP or CME situation OR intentional disruption by our new “woke” military EW specialists etc. But.. for an outage in your geographical area only, it does make sense that you’d still have connectivity. The final hops will supposedly be routed to outside final downlink peers. Nice bit of diversity in your comms plan. Perhaps going over PACE plans and “3 is one and 2 is none” or whatever that excellent expression was. Thanks!

any experience with ATAK + Meshtastic? I'd love a way to run a real time geospatial planning and comms platform without a 5 figure Gotenna Pro.

I would love this tech if they allowed you to turn on and off the service as long as you buy the gear. I like my fiber at home but would love to set up a “NOC” when we go camping 😅

The Starlink RV allows you to pause the service! I should have mentioned this. Great point, thank you!

@@MojaveRepeater Look into the RV option can move the unit and pause the plan but may have slower speeds

I expected better from this channel. No mention of the laser communication between starlink satellite?

You got me. I totally forgot to mention the handoff!
