Excellent quality; thanks so much! Love the “older” Stars on Ice & other shows/competitions. After about 2003 or 4, lost some of the magic. IMHO. Anyway thanks a ton for this 00-01 season of SOI!

My pleasure! I have a few more from the early 2000s that I'll put up. Totally agree with you; it just wasn't the same once the mid-2000s hit. Still great moments in the Canadian tour, though (this year's was fantastic).

sjwpg oh thank you so much! I should add that I think the Canadians in general still have that magic. Their SOI’s are awesome I agree! Virtue & Moir would’ve fit right in during those years :) Was discussing this with an old coach this morning. I think she nailed it she was saying it’s changed so much because it used to be more elite: there were fewer elite coaches, choreographers, fewer skaters; only the very elite skaters were even brought to coaches attention & most of the coaches were Eastern Europeans (all equally trained in ballet) who had very high standards for what skaters needed to be & that system produced all the skaters we love from the good years, even the Americans like Tara Lipinski et al were coached by them. To them, elite meant the whole package; not only athleticism but artistry, choreography and personal grace/charisma. In the present day, the sport has become much more popular in countries without strong skating backgrounds who basically had to teach the sport to themselves, hence more democratic; anyone who can jump is able to progress. It’s good (more people can succeed) and it’s bad (somewhat different standards). AND it all began with eliminating figure eights! Omg I’ve digressed. Oops sorry. Anyway I just love your channel, keep up the awesome work 🙏🏻😂

Scott I've been battling three medical issues that are non life threatening but makes me feel happy and puts a smile on my face.
