I feel like it's some kind of turbo-heresy to use Reality Disruptors on a XIV Legion, but I can't argue that they aren't Super Effective.

For those who were able to find 1 Reality Disruptor, the build will still work. Otherwise, the other options are to use Claws or Xyphos for EMP or Ion Beam with a Venture (or P version). Low Tech is quite limited to adequately control the battlefield. Share us your experience so far!

Two Reality disruptors? TWO OF THEM!? may ludd have mercy. whatever get shot by that will go back to stone ages. btw good vid .Really like your style and your trend of no pilot and no mix type. I try follow some of your guild of no pilot run and think you must be good at fleet command too cuz I often get my ship separate and surround.

The P version does roughly -20 to 25% less damage compare to regular one. It's more useful to deploy one more ship in this setup. Also, in the end of the battle, chasing carriers and small ships are easier with Burn Drive.

@@MisterG_Gaming I'd always pick the standard Eradicator. Pilot with Elite Helmsmanship and either long range triple HVD or triple Mauler with Railguns. Double Mauler + HVD and Railguns also works. S-Mod IPDAI with Elite PD puts Needlers or Railguns at 900 range. ITU to compensate for Unstable Injector to chase after slowpokes. While LP Brawlers or LP Lashers are quite strong they're also fragile and have low peak times. If you can fit them Atropos or Swarmer in the missile slot.

@@HelmutKohlrabi if you plan to use IPDAI, use Railgun since Needler is a burst weapon. I am surprise you use it since I loose dps (no focus on enemy ship)

@@MisterG_Gaming either Railgun or Needler. Needler is slightly more efficient and it has the same recycle time as the Mauler, pairs well. If you fire them manually the enemy has to make the choice of overloading or taking a Mauler Barrage to the face. Ammo Feeder literally doubles the DPS. I used to run it with Arbalests and Light Mortars or Light ACs and Heavy Mortars and used the OP on hullmods. Fun to drive but the AI does better with standoff weapons. It's kinda boring running meta builds all the time.

What do you recommend as a substitute for reality disruptors when I'm on the process of still acquiring them?

Anything that can provide you EMP or to control the battlefield: fighters (Broadsword/claw), midline or high tech ships. You can swap 2 Eradicators for something else like Omen for support or Gryphon with Salamanders/Locust just to stop enemy fighters and give you time to recharge Lidar or vent. Low Tech only is somewhat limited but you can do something interresting with Legion XIV and temporarly use Locust. Tell me if it helps you or not

Thanks man, btw I'm currently still using your old low tech format on the 0.96a version and every opponent I faced except for remnants would still wipe the floor with them hahaha and I mean it literally, my fleet would just sweep through them like dust. So far, the opponent I faced that made me retry due to losing once was the double ordo fleet. I say that even after defeating the double doritos.

The low tech fleet is working pretty good so far. The only problem I have is the Legion likes to pull itself out of position and get isolated occasionally. When that happens it dies.@@MisterG_Gaming

​​@@dylanmeek6914 You must already have 1 Reality Disruptor for this build to work since Low Tech doesn't have much option to do EMP, which is a unique weapon from a specific boss battle. Some have tried it without this weapon and they have not had the same result. Otherwise, you can take Carriers with fighters (Broadsword / Claw) or Xyphos Legion variant which are another less effective options or take a ship variant that allows you to use Ion Beams.

I don't know about you but I feel uncomfortable seeing capital ships with weapons under 900 base range, I usually reserve those to destroyers or frigates, and much less cruisers if they're fast and maneuverable enough.

On what ships are we talking about? If you pilot a ship like Legion XIV, it can be great with double cyclones, PDs and other midrange weapons.

We also don't want to reduce the capacitors too much for Thunders for example. The Xyphos is not good here since the Mining pod does exactly the same damage when it has no charges and its Ion Beam is useless since we are using the Reality Disruptor. To be able to use Reality Disruptor as much as we can is the tactic here (sponging damage with fighters for free). They are pretty decent for what it brings.
