Starsector - Doritos vs Spam

This is a nice fleet to take on Doritos, the locust apogees with point defence officers also offer a great way to finish off the fighters.

Damn this fleet cleaned up! Never really knew that destroyers and light cruisers could withstand the doritos for this long, but then again those two poor Sunders at the start definitely didn't lol...

Apogee Class is slept on real hard man In all honesty though, this really does tell me that the difference between a decent ship and a good ship really is weapon choice

Apogee I think might actually be the best ship in the game in "deployment point to value generated" sense. You can give it a large missle weapon and a large energy weapon. It's got respectable flux stats; it is manoeuvrable and comes with 360 shield coverage as default. Couple that with built in surveying and sensor hullmods. Very nice ship.

I just like the extendes shields haha maybe it's not as useful

They're actually a huge help against tesseracts because the fighters shards especially love going after engines and hitting ships from behind where they're weakest, at least in my attempts.
