an apollyon's venting, anything going into the capacitors goes into vents, the special built in hullmod does that and more, but even though its a battleship its not a brawler so don't go thinking you can brawl a group of capitals

This thing's armor is shit, it will die if it brawls a group of capitals(Unsupported and taking the brunt of the hits), though due to the hullmod if you do by some mistake brawl a bunch of capitals it'll be easier to run away afterwards if you take damage

effective shield hp and armour was shit, sim Onslaught is not exactly the toughest opponent. I reckon that (without knowing about this ship's special ability), this ship gets folded like tissue paper against an Onslaught with an Aggressive armour-build Officer. Heavy Armor + Armored Weapon Mounts + 15 DP mod that makes you vent faster and lowers EMP damage by 50% would really stick it to a fragile capital that tries to challenge it to a flux war. Counterargument - Field Modulation Elite, Ordinance Expertise Elite, Energy Weapons Expertise Elite (etc) Officer with that vent rate would be able to vent a lot of hard flux while keeping their shields up and still firing a lot of weapons.

Surprisingly poor performance. Would using the ship system have changed that? For reference, a player-outfitted Onslaught, player-piloted VS sim Onslaught should crush the sim one head-on while taking paint-scratch armour damage. The Apollyon actually took hull damage here. Wouldn't be surprised if the Apollyon's DP cost is like 45/50 or so, so you'd expect the fight to be even more one-sided. The main redeeming factor of this ship seems to be the vent speed and DPS, making it more of an executioner than a duelist. The ship system might also be crucial - I know some VIC ships have "nothing personnel kid" teleportation + energy-strike systems where they teleport through a target and do large amounts of damage.
