My faithful ship isn't getting any younger. The latest quirk to rear it's ugly head is a jump-drive stabilization field generator on the fritz. That makes for some interesting hyper-light traveling to say the least. Thank goodness for this ancient earth broadcast I found just barely echoing off a nebula. Took a few for my ship to decode the data, it was so dirty with cosmic noise. Turns out it's some relic called "youtube" I think. Anyways, this really made the hyper-light jump from the Alpha-Centauri gateway to Ursa Major II a lot more relaxing! I've never heard anything like it. I'll have to try and send a message back in time through the inter-dimensional rift aperture when I get home, you know, to say thanks. Safe travels out there all you lonely wanderers.

You know, as brutal, violent, scary, and disturbing as the alien movies can be, I think there's something really beautiful about them. The idea that no matter how advanced or complacent we become, there will always be something out there to humble us. to show us, in the grand scheme of things, how small we really are. Nothing conveys that as effectively, at least in my opinion, than the idea of deep space travel. In reality, it would take years, be very boring, and, if something went wrong, you would have no help. Light years from where you came from and where you're headed. Just floating. I think this music really aptly evokes a similar feeling, and I really appreciate it!

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: - Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert... Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed And on the pedestal these words appear ‚My name is Ozymandias, king of kings Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!‘ Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Strangely enough this does suit the Alien movies and theme perfectly! Not my personal cup of tea when it comes to the frequencies and the vibe but it is very good and atmospheric and just creates this uneasy and eerie feeling while simultaneously giving out the "you are in the void of space" kind of feeling. Also I think the frequencies here and the sounds create this "alone in space" feeling that these movies portray sometimes but always on the uneasy scale, exactly as intended.

The movie was disappointing.1st) David had emotions, hate, arrogance, ... etc. on the movie Prometeous the only good thing about that movie was David and that was because, he would do evil things not because he wanted to, but he had no programming limitations. 2nd) the last three survivors of the crew, never considered if the android that came with them was David or the other one, out most stupidity to assume. I bet everyone else in the theater knew what is going to happen. I did.

Prometheus and Convenant are in fact 2 movies about a crazy android 'David'. They did with those 2 movies an ideal job to kill once and for all the whole Alien franchise. True, both movies are a visual 4 star experience but with that all is said. Alien 4 and the Predator VS aliens were the first attempt to rape the franchise, with the two movies about the android David, and last but not least, the fact that the xenomorphs were created by the android David and were not to be searched on a distant planet with even more other horrible 'Giger' like xenomorphs or an civilisation on an other planet that call's for help against a xenomorph war... So many scenario's were open, but they were closed with Covenant. Such a shame. The canceled Alien 5 would have been the way to go.... But R.S. made is so that that path is never going to happen and for certain not with the D. company.
@GeneraluStelaru6 жыл бұрын
Not all franchises need to continue indefinitely. When it comes to Alien, you can just watch the original and be satisfied. You can also watch ALIENS and be completely satisfied. Why would we want continuations is beyond me. We're intelligent consumers. We can digest encapsulated stories and thus, we can ignore weak attempts to capitalize on past successes. I don't care about Alien 5. The idea is ridiculous. Alien is not Haloween, nor Friday the 13th, for goodness sake! Let the Ridleys of the world rehash the story a hundred times. I don't care... Although I care enough to write this short rant (:

Everybody shits on the 4th, but my imagination runs excitingly wild with the possibilities - after all, Ripley went back to Earth mutated, with alien blood in her... 🤩 The possibilities!!!
