can you help explain why the significance? Didn't they already land the booster months ago without the arms?

Thank you for sharing, hello from Australia! God Bless America and Space X (and Elon). Loved experiencing this vicariously through you. I yelled so loud at my TV last night just before midnight ("Stick it! Stick it!) in Sydney that my twin daughters (10 yo) came down to see what the ruckus was about, I showed them an action replay and said this was historic, they were very excited! (not so much their Mum!) Note: Starship landed near Aus, but near the unpopulated bit of our north west. Maybe next time they try and land Starship on Australia or an island off the coast.

I don't know this is truely an amazing catch, they aren't however going to nail this 100% of the time and having this thing coming at the tower and complex like a damn ICBM is kind of terrifying.
@thick453 сағат бұрын
@@GetFitEatRight Good point. But as with everything else that they're doing moving forward, there's always a backup plan. If you look closely at the trajectory of the booster, it's not headed directly to the tower, it has some time to check if a catch is possible, otherwise, an explosion a bit further from the tower (hopefully) will be seen.
