According to the developer, they are considering power armor similar to that seen in the movie. Maybe, The reason there isn't is because the game is still under development.

No the dropped the ball when they passed in a Helldivers like ODST game. If they just went with it then helldivers 2 might have not been as much popular as it is now. But I'm glad to have helldivers 2. It's a fun game and love to play it with my friends

@@NordicJarl27 Helldivers have a lot of quirks and attention to detail that makes it stands out significantly from other games. It's a game where regular gameplay can look like cinematic trailers and passes all the vibe checks. It's unfortunate that we've gotten decent Starship Troopers so late that it was overshadowed by a different game. I just hope this project keeps evolving and doesn't get abandoned :(

@Micromation Ikr. I don't have the game but I would love to get it. Also I don't think it will die. Ever since helldivers dropped, starship troopers the movie went up on the watch list I think. So hopefully those who seen the movie will actually also crave that same sort of experience and will buy this game. Helldivers is good at capturing moments like that, but you're in a 4-man squad, but in starship troopers extermination, you're with a whole bunch of other people fending off bugs while building bases and defenses. I, for one, want that and will buy this game once it becomes on sale

@@NordicJarl27 I have it, there just isn't many people to play with. If you want it to succeed you should consider paying the full pricetag if financially viable - unlike AAA publishers, with small studios those extra few bucks go a long way.

i can appreciate your nostalgic sentiment, but if it was on PC, your disk wouldn't work anymore since it was programmed for WinXP. if it was a playstation disk, then yes, that is a lost opportunity to revisit it again.

@@Jhunta I can understand where your coming from and most people either dont know or dont have the hardware requirements for it, but I can easily make a VM (Virtual Machine) and I have the ISO for WinXP and Win7 (which it also ran on with some help). There is also backwards compatibility but that can only go so far and can cause issues. Sadly it wasnt released on Playstation or any console I believe due to those consoles hardware restrictions. We are talking about having hundreds or thousands of arachnids on the screen at once.

Starship Troopers book had the most fucking badass humans ever existed on sci-fi universe. Too bad it cost way too much to make it on a movie. Too bad that massive badassery was just swept under the rug. Starship troopers "On the pouch" would belittle any 40k Warhammer fan to their knees. Mobile infantry was very few actual realistic futural human in warfare...

The original Heinlein novel makes all of this look cartoonish. Even the original movie didn't do it justice. For those of you that still enjoy "reading", I highly recommend "Armor", John Steakley's take on Starship Troopers.

Sad.. I play this game (on 4K), and it does not look this good ingame like the trailer shows. Sad. Don't get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this game. I will 110% continue to play it (over 1000 hours on early access as of this post) because this game is so much fun. All I'm saying is, ingame; it doesn't look as good as the "ingame" trailer (such as this). Regardless, the game still does look fantastic!
