Im glad the man has got so much work through this one role throughout the years, but part of me feels a bit bad for how he must feel for getting virtually no other roles in his entire career, constantly being called Johnny Rico where ever he goes

Honestly as someone with vr, it is the renaissance of our time, gaming as a whole and especially vr, this isn’t like 2019 the immersion and casual user friendly mind blowing awesomeness is all here at an affordable price , no computer required , buy a console and go, play it in the woods if you want zero accessories or set up , I can whole heartedly in good faith assure you this is a good jumping on point , as you say; batman the official Arkham title ,metro, behemoth, but there is also: iron man, assassins creed hitman pokemon resident evil four in all it’s glory plus others, black ops zombies (it’s a mod on contractors but it’s perfect 1:1 with the original voice lines and perks etc, go run around kino der toten in first person as Dempsey , or nacht der untoten or play star wars battlefront with the ships and sabres all faithfully recreated ) blade and sorcery full release is almost like a full dive vr anime in real life, except less cringe and sus on stand alone quest and it’s amazing Honestly I cannot endorse it enough, you’ve got attack on Titan and other anime games that are actually some of the best ,and literally every thing inbetween you can imagine possibly imagine it to mention nsfw , you can link it to game pass and and use it as a screed like having a 3D cinema in your house for gaming or movies , use a controller if you want even , the online community is generally less diabolical too people are nice and happy and excited to be there it’s not all angry 12 year olds or sweats from cod lobbies you can actually meet celebs and streamers or just explore virtual space yourself or with friends which is a whole different experience like being in the room with them , I can’t describe what it’s like to see first hand some of the most basic stuff, nearly forgotten genres with all new perspectives become actually engaging , keeps you moving more than just consoles too but it’s not like playing wii it’s responsive and accurate enough to have fun doing the things you always wished you could in virtual space, climbing up crevices in the wall to get somewhere ,accurate blind fire human shields physics based sword and magic combat in first person .. as with the shooting , swing around a virtual city or Mod whatever specific scenario you want into any game you want wish more people knew how worth it it is right now, and only getting better consistently .

Woah this looks freaking fun! Can't wait to get my hands dirty killing bugs with the troopers! Absolutely gonna watch the movies again after watching this; Best intro ever btw and great interview My only small compliant would be the obnoxious xp values and health bars (maybe there's an option to turn them off) Also it would be incredibly fun if the bug corpses stayed longer before disappearing because its satisfying to take a look at all the bug corpses you just killed. And finally, it would be cool to have a body as an option, instead of floating hands, in order to be able to see your own equipment

Great video and amazing interview with the actor, really gives you so much more hope seeing that this has been pretty much a passion project for everyone involved and that the actor is so supportive about the medium, it means a lot and I'm sure real fans will be sold seeing things like this.

Casper playing Rico is like a singer who wrote a one hit wonder album. Except that one hit/album is one of the greatest songs/albums of all time, and no one ever managed to nail that same magic again. I love how passionate he is about this character he played almost 30 years ago. A true nerds dream. I've *never* been jealous of a youtuber, but I am today. You lucky bastards! Ah man this is cool.

Ok, that intro was the best EVER!!!! RICO's ROUGH NECKS!!!! And that Lionel Richie rendition was stellar, by the way! The rest of this video should be a hoot as usual. EDIT: Yup, the rest was awesome! Loved that interview with Casper. He is definitely one of us! Sci-fi nerd all the way! Here's hoping for another SST movie with a good budget.

Since i watched the movie i was hyped for every Starship troopers game. But flat games catches me no more since a few years. VR and shooters are such a great Combo. And now i can't wait to shoot some Bugs in VR. 😍

Looks pretty decent actually. The life bar and hit point numbers look distractingly huge on the enemies. I hope we can adjust that.

It should have been an amazing experience to speak with Johnny Rico!! Congrats a lot for that. Regarding the game... Looks really cool. But I kind of felt it underwhelming, but I guess is about balance, would be impossible if you got overrun with bugs. I just thought it would be awesome to at least live it. And.... BRING IT TO PC!!!!!!

This was the first Rated R film I could get into under age. I was 15, and my friend who drove us to the movie was too short to be believable an get us all tickets. But because I looked 20, being 15 but 6'5 in height, I was able to save the day and get everyone tickets to this AMAIZING movie for its day. This movie has a special place in my heart. I hope the game is decent.

Did I just saw Casper called Rhys and Beardo : Private Beardo benjo and Private Rhys.. DA king ! Amazing intro. I felt a lot for this excited voice from you Beardo, awesome time for you ! My Killjoy side would say, this would have been better if it was a true staged intro with costume and all, but it's great anyway !

I'd buy this if they removed the XP and HEALTH BARS on the bugs!!... That's such an arcady, immersion-breaking choice. Please reconsider--either reduce the size, OR remove them all together... The health bar actually kills TENSION when you're in a firefight.... Please for the love of Casper Van Dien, reconsider!!! Thanks!! Beardo--back me up here!

That's very cool to see you guys on chat with Casper. Shame we didn't get to see any gameplay with him involved though. I love how open and enthusiastic he is about the game and franchise, which has been a favorite of mine as well. His character definitely should have been with Dizzy instead of her dying. The satire in the first film might have went over most heads, but I saw it. Not a major fan of the rudimentary graphics to the VR game though. Considering how amazing "Metro Awakening" and "Batman: Arkham Shadow" looks, as well as "Arizona Sunshine 2" and various other titles, I don't see why this game couldn't be more realistic in visuals instead of the animated look. Nonetheless, it looks like a lot of fun to be had with players who have the headset.
