Enjoyed this and part 1. Read skint mob a few years ago, great book. On the point of attracting a bigger audience, one thing I would say, last year I took some people to Cheltenham in December, on club tickets around £35 a head and they were shocked at the lack of facilities. Nowhere to sit down for food, and it was hammering it down with rain outside. More sit down cafes etc should be provided. You shouldn't have to pay for hospitality in order to sit down somewhere.

Also agree with Simon on betting shops creating racing fans back then. Completely agree. Young guys grow up betting on their.phone with no sense of odds understanding and its on football not racing that they are handing over their money to.

some good points....get in the PR group, its needed. ITV and the other racing channels are pretty good in general. ITV are superb

when I met my now wife in 1993 she recalls that I took her to the bookmakers most Saturday afternoons, ah the good old days! I've not been in a betting shop in probably 20 years I do all my betting through bf online
