Great video. I like your style. I would have liked to have a closer look at exactly how you tested the thermofuse, your body was blocking the shot. But I imagine it's pretty straightforward. I repaired my washer a couple months ago, I had to replace the pump motor on my LG washer, and have been thinking about getting into the appliance repair business ever since.

Overall, Chris here is speaking the truth. However, it needs to be said that the Whirlpool-based (Kenmore/Roper/Kirkland/2007+ Maytag/Kitchenaid etc) electric dryers are by far the easiest appliance to work on. I agree that just about anyone can do 99% of this trade, but make sure you learn some of the more complicated stuff (GE/Samsung products for example) before you quit your day job and drive off a cliff doing service calls.
@chrisstokes2020

I appreciate you taking the time to comment on this video. I TOTALLY agree about NOT quitting your JOB... yet!! However, with our Appliance Training course we teach you how to quit your job as soon as possible and when to quit. Also, we teach the more complicated appliances that you recommend; GE, LG, Samsung, Frigidaire, etc... Again, Thanks for the kind words. Be Blessed

Refrigerator have the most profit margin. However, if you are NEW to the Appliance Repair industry. I wouldn't suggest that you start with refrigerators as a beginner. You need to learn the BASICS of some easier appliances first. Hope that helps. Thanks

@@chrisstokes2020 I'm really thinking hard about taking the course. What are the steps I need to take to get going? Been hesitate about it because the appliances have changed tremendously and seems more complicated than the older ones when it comes to repairing. I guess my main concern is will I get all the training I need to actually go out and do repairs.

The question about your washer is a little vague. For instance, is it a front load or top load? However, if it doesn't agitate when it should there could be too many variables to consider. I would start with trying to place the washer in diagnostic mode (if that is possible) then check the door switch or latch, try to spin the tub with your hand to see if there is any resistance. Lastly, try the washer in spin only. Hope that helps.
@zabihullahpir4766

Thank you sir It is front load one Have checked the door latch as well it's OK and checked the drum as well it is free there is nothing else And I am trying the spin mode When I start the spin mode Then the door shut and it is pumping out water for almost 3 mins then just spin for 5 seconds and again stop and again start after min I am really confused I didn't understand why it's like this

7:20 How are we supposed to test for voltage if we unplug it first?
@chrisstokes2020
@chrisstokes2020 4 жыл бұрын
You are practicing SAFETY!! The reason you unplug it FIRST, is because you DO NOT want to accidentally touch an electrical appliance (like an electric dryer) that has 220 voltage while your are removing the plate that covers the terminal (because it is still plugged in)... that could be fatal or at the very least cause MAJOR injuries!! Thanks

Brian, Price varies in different parts of the country. I will say that most technicians in my area charge on average of $100 to $125 parts and labor. I am usually cheaper than my competition and definitely cheaper than the big companies like sears, mr. appliance and others. Also, I teach in the course how to CRUSH your competition while making an AWESOME INCOME & grow your business at the same time. Hope that helps.

A dryer thermal fuse will fail for a number of reasons; over heating dryer, blocked air flow, cycling thermostat is bad, heating element is not grounded correctly, etc... However, in this case we get a lot of power surges, that's what happened to this dryer. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching our video.
