your videos have helped me so much with taking care of my little birds, i have been watching since a year before zeeby sadly passed and named my first bird after her, my first bird is a turquoise and white parakeet who is five years old now and really got me into keeping birds, i now have 4 female parakeets and a sweet pineapple green cheek conure who i got from someone who didn't have time for him anymore. he is only 10 months old and is such a sweetheart. you helped me to realize that the cage i was keeping the parakeets in was too small for them, they were only in there for about a month so luckily it wasn't too bad and i immediately got them a flight cage that is as tall as me (5'1") and about 3 feet wide. your videos also helped me give my conure the best home i can give him. his cage is slightly bigger than the parakeets and both cages are full of perches and toys. thank you so much for your informative videos and im so glad to see that you are still posting. edit: my conure was sleeping on my head as i typed this xD

Your videos are so helpful! It's amazing how quickly and clearly you get the information across and demonstrate it in practice. It must take a lot of work to get your videos so polished. Thank you! Also Mia is such a cutie

Thank you! this is a nice complement to your wing handling tutorial (which we've been doing pretty successfully) because my bird doesn't really go near my hand by himself. I tried using the stick above my hand but he goes over my hand entirely so putting the stick under my hand is so obvious and genius at the same time haha

How long does this training take for a bird that's comfortable with hands before you don't need the target stick any more?

It’s entirely dependent on the bird, newt (my conure) is a bird who likes pressing himself against hands so he caught on within a couple minutes. Mia (in this video) who doesn’t like being handled picked it up within a session or two. Different birds will find different aspects discomforting so it can take longer depending on the individual

Does anyone know what she is using for treats?

Perhaps sunflower or Chia seeds. They love that stuff. Not to be eaten often though as they are fatty. But also depends how much exercise ur bird gets

You are really a natural at this! All my bird wants to do is bite my hand. How many times should I expect him to bite me before he should catch on that is not the desired behavior? 😂

Hi, I'm really confused and it would be very nice if someone could help me. I'm german and I love conures. I've been discussing on how to keep them correctly in german bird forums because there is like no german websites with info on that and everyone said that you HAVE to have two because they need a partner to talk to and socialize with and that no human could be a replacement for another conure no matter how much time they spend with them. I think that makes sense but lately I've seen many english videos about conures and most of the times they don't have a partner. It never gets mentioned why or if it should be this way. So my question is if you should keep conures alone or with a partner. (Sorry for my broken english btw its not my native language)
