Great video. The idea of not repeating small mistakes is HUGELY important, and applies to any instrument. Thanks for the knowledge you share!

You can also go the other way and apply the same technique for this progression going upwards once you have a good grip on it.

2:42 lol all those gestures that only a guitarist makes when trying to hold back from playing for a moment.....guitar ticks lol Cool video! I hope this helps me master cliffs of dover....or Kiko's dystopia solo :D Already after just repeating the e/b string part at 7:40 it feels quite comfortable and cleaner than trying to pick it all.

Claus i thoroughly love you man you’ve taught me so much over the last like, 7 years mate. Is there a patroon or anything I can help say thanks with or I’ll just go with the guitar master course :) Thanks boss you’re the friendliest most real guy ever and you always know exactly what a guitarist is thinking to help overcome difficulties. All the best man.

Hybrid picking is best for arpeggio or bluesy lick with 3 strings. The accent is perfect for blues/funk. IMO.

Hybrid pickings for dynamic changes that's part of its uses that you can go to pick to fingers is its beauty .completely different tone and feel once you get good at what you're doing. But you just can't solo with it that way. Made for chords and mixing stuff in between is best used that way. Give the technique value can't run over it

I’d check out Rick Graham or Marshall Harrison if that’s what you believe

The biggest strength of hybrid I think is being able to play numerous notes all at once with the flexability to introduce or leave out anything you want. You cant do that with a pick since you have to move the pick over the strings up or down so naturally there is always a small delay in getting numerous notes to sound at once so you physically cannot play numerous notes all at once with a pick alone. Hybrid picking is also just its own sound that is always good to learn, its another colour for your palate and you can be gentle or even add a slap or spank to it and it can add a whole layer of sound for you that you cannot get using just your pick.

During alternate picking, if there is a hammer-on after a downpick does the next pick after the hammer-on be up or down?

Can you do this without nails? I have to keep my nails (right hand) really short because of a sport, so is this really difficult to do with your skin as opposed to your nail, like the classical guitar?
@guitarmastery2 жыл бұрын
You can do it with normal nails. No problem.

I love hybrid picking, and combining hybrid with economy. Polyphia uses a lot of hybrid picking too, real fun band to learn the tabs of; and Polyphia sells their official guitar tabs too!
