I just thought of something and will mention it in the next video - when you watch TV, you're able to focus your gaze on the little box while not looking at the big room and all that's surrounding that box. I really like the idea of getting used to seeing all the cards on the table even if you’re only interpreting a small section. As you say, it will avoid tableau shock later on because when a person is ready to read the GT in its entirety, it will be visually just business as usual. Great tip!!

I love, "tableau shock"! A fellow wordsmith, you are! If you think about it, it's no different than watching TV. We've trained ourselves to focus on the activity happening in the little box without noticing all that's happening or visible around it. Dogs do it as puppies but rarely as adults. We should all remain puppies! 😆

So much great information! Question-could you use this technique to read a whole GT? Use the same method you did for the client card and just look for the theme cards for life areas you’re interested in (fish for money, book for school, etc) and read the cards that are touching them?

Absolutely! This was a complete GT reading I performed for a client last year and I just recreated the spread from a picture to make the video. If you want feedback on it, just send me what you see and I can tell you if the client confirmed it or not.

@@lisaloveslenormand6357 Wow! That’s excellent. It really makes the GT much more approachable. So, using this method, here are the steps I would use for a basic GT, without MOD. Could you please tell me if I got it right and if I’m missing anything? 1. Lay out GT 2. Read the first three cards. 3. Read the corner cards. 4. Read the center four cards. 5. Find the Querent’s card (Man or Woman card) and read all of the cards that are touching it. (Also, find partner card, if desired, and read the same way.) 6. Find theme cards (i.e. book=school fish=money, etc.) and for each one, read the cards that are touching it. 7. Knight and mirror Querent’s card and any other theme cards. 8. Chain houses. 9. Read the fate line. And, can this method be used for a general reading (e.g. ‘What is coming up during the next 6 months?”) and also for a specific question? Thanks so much!

@@PsychicJeff Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! You've listed almost everything you could possibly do to a GT, so yes, you've got this! Just know that you won't need to - or want to - do all of that every time you interpret a GT because it would be too much and may muddy the waters. It's best to settle on a few standard techniques and then see what draws your eye and sparks your intuition as you go. For example, my standard process is the corners, the center 4, the bottom line, the location of the seeker, and possibly the partner, any life area cards of interest, the cards touching and connecting them. I only knight when my gut tells me to and I rarely mirror. My point is that I have a standard system that never changes and beyond that, I'll add other techniques if I'm drawn to them. The cards will follow your lead. Once you have a system, they'll know just how to fall. And, yes, you can lay a GT for one specific question (I know I made a video on that!) or for all life areas over a certain period.

You have simplified everything and made it all so clear. I feel I can approach the GT with confidence now, thanks to you. You are such a great writer and teacher. I think I’ll practice by doing a look ahead at the new year readings for friends and just intend it will be for the first six months of 2022. (I have read and maybe you’ve said that it’s best not to go farther than six months because things start to get cloudy.) Auspicious simply means anything that will lead to a favorable outcome. Auspicious=fortunate. You could, in a general sense, consider positive cards as auspicious and negative as inauspicious, but it will really depend on what you're asking about when you lay the cards.

I remember now as you gave an example,if you were to ask a question about cancer recovery and you got star although star is normally a positive card in this case it would mean spreading so,would actually be a negative card thankyou

@@wendynordon6796 No, I'd never see the Star as a negative card - nor the Sun (the energy to make something grow) - though some other teachers do. That makes no sense to me at all. The Star is the card of recovery but if you ask the question in the wrong way, you're left confused. I'd never see the Stars as the spreading of disease. You need to ask questions in the positive, not the negative. You ask how healing will progress, not how a disease will progress. If you're asking the cards about the disease, then the disease is the seeker and positive cards are positive for the disease, not for the host of the disease. Does that make sense?

Thank you, Tesimpa. When you are still bound to someone, legally, financially, through shared property or children, or emotionally (either through love or hate), they may still be the most significant other person in your life and will be represented by the partner card. If you're asking about finding someone new, then the partner card represents the future love. If you're asking about your work life, the partner card may represent your boss or a colleague - whoever is playing the role that you're asking about. I'll be making more MOD GT videos and book #2 is all MOD and should make everything clear. You can charge the partner card to represent anyone you want or you can allow the cards touching it in a GT to tell you who it is. Does that make sense?
