I’m returning to this viewer-requested video series, where I’m sharing aspects of my personal study and practice of cartomancy with playing cards.
In this installment, I’m sharing one of my personal favorite layouts to use when I read with playing cards: the Answer Spread. It comes from the pages of “Card Reader’s Handbook” by Regina Russell, which is available here: www.rrtearoom.com/book.html

James! I gasped so hard and clicked so fast when I saw this! Since I've been working on improving my skills in Cartomancy, I visit your previous card meanings series "quite" often, as I am sure many others do, so thanks for this explanation of Spread meanings! This gave me more opportunity to see you at work with Cartomancy and I loved it! Thank you for the time and effort you put in to answer requests as well as read our comments and consider what we may be interested in seeing from you. Can you do an Oracle Outlook reading for the week ahead, (any deck of your choice) my B-day is 2/6 this Saturday and will be turning the big 50! I would love that as I know you usually start with Sunday, perfect! And I loved this video as well, this will be revisited.

James, it is such a pleasant surprise to see you mention the "Card Readers Handbook". I have had this book since 2002. I have not heard of anyone else share that they use that book until I came across your videos. I read the cards using this system as well I have learned another system over the years and have combined them together. Thank you for your videos!

Hi James, Great video! I'm so glad you are doing more playing cartomancy videos! Would you be able to do a book review of Regina Russell's book? There is no preview of the book available and I will have to pay hefty shipping to have it sent to Canada, so I would appreciate a good review before investing in it. Thanks! Jake

Hello James, could you please give me some clarification on the following. The last column is about contributing factors, but I'm not clear if it's pertaining to the situation or to the answer. And the pivot card function is also a little unclear to me. Does it influence the situation or the answer and can it turn a yes answer to a no and vice versa? I'm looking forward to see more videos on your spreads. Thank you for another so great and helpful video. There is no one else like you in the YT community that give their time and knowledge so generously and in such professional manner. My knowledge of the cards be it cartomancy, Kipper, etc,,, wouldn't have been as complete without you. Much love to you.

Hi, Purple Moon, thanks for watching the video; I'm glad you found it helpful. Hopefully I can clear up some aspects of the Answer Spread for you... Russell (the author of the book that has the spread in it) says the contributing factors column are possibilities regarding the question "yet to be considered." How I read this column is that it can show possibilities regarding the situation that can play out leading to the answer (middle column of cards). Unlike the first column, which talk about the situation directly, the contributing factors are other things to take into consideration. Going with the video, the 10 of Diamonds in the segment on the cruise question suggested the contributing factor of the investment of money into the cruise played a part in the question being asked. The pivot card can sometimes answer the question directly, aside from the answer column. That is why I suggest comparing the answer column to this particular card. The best example of this was the appearance of the 7 of Hearts as the pivot card in the segment asking about giving a relationship another try (being a card of second chances) - it answered the question directly. I don't think it negates anything revealed in the answer column; rather it can offer a different perspective on the answer (outcome). I hope I was able to provide clarity with those aspects of the layout for you. If not, please circle back and let me know. And thank you for the very kind words. I don't get to post videos all that often these days (due to time restraints), so what you've shared means a lot to me. Much love and many blessings to you.

@JamesHimmCoach33

Thanks for the suggestions, Mohit. As a rule, I tend not to do health readings, simply because I'm not a medical professional and therefore can't offer any diagnosis or prognosis. Also, I've been reading cards for two decades now, and I've never done a reading regarding lost objects. So I have to really think about how I would present these topics in a way that is comfortable to me.

In this 6 card spread do you also combine cards to do readings column wise. For e.g. if we had 4 of club in row1 column 1 and an ace of diamond in row2 column 1...so would you read them separately or would you combine them both and read it as a new car. (A four of club followed by ace of diamond represents new car i believe). Thanks
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Mohit, thanks for watching the video. Since I didn't create the spread myself, I prefer to stick to how it was intended to be used - meaning the way I presented and worked with it in the video. That is how Regina Russell uses it in the "Card Reader's Handbook," and it works for me as is (as you saw in the video). That said, you could always tweak or modify any spread to work for you. If you find that reading the rows in addition to the columns helps to answer the question, then by all means do it. But you change the original intention of the spread when you customize it, so you might want to give it another name as well.

Hi James, I love your Videos, I have one question when you use an imaginary person for the reading how the card kind of giving you something related to the question? Since that person does not exist? Just curious. Can That spread be used on Tarot or Lenormand? Thanks
@JamesHimmCoach33
@JamesHimmCoach33 3 жыл бұрын
I would say it’s because the cards are addressing the question, whether it’s an actual situation or not. The cards are neutral, they are a tool used to get to the answers. So it doesn’t matter whether the person is real or imaginary. I’m sure if you want to use this spread with Tarot or Lenormand, you could. I personally don’t, unless I use a Tarot de Marseille, simply because I read the pips like I would playing cards.

@@JamesHimmCoach33 Wow, very interesting, I was always wondering how the cards answers for something made off. But how can he predict something for a non-fictif person, since that thing, in reality, will not have a future? Curious, Thanks a lot.
