It's not working the message shown "access denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or the disk may be locked" It is another user in my laptop it is used by my son and this account is non admin account and there is no window button is working nor this cmd is working

I have the same issue since maybe 8 month. None of the solution on the Internet seems to work. Killing explorer.exe and waiting like 3 min before executing explorer.exe solve temporary the problem until the next time I start WIndows 10. I solved an error in the event manager for the path of ucrtbase.dll which is linked with explorer.exe but at the end I got the exact same issue without any error logged in the the windows events. I post a solution here if one day I find the solution without a major windows reset :D

Try Ctrl-Alt-Del first.... and shut down at bottom right. Then boot up. See if that helps first. This was really long and I was up really late (2am) doing your methods so its worth a try first! Thanks MDTechVideos. I just got through fixing Black Screen on my main PC and just got this start button problem last night and followed your video and it worked after the boot up 3/4 though the video!!!

Hello. Im having problems with my laptop. Here is the situation, for example I have 3 sticky notes open then I minimized and tried to reopen it doesnt respond. This is also the time when I noticed that evertime I open a new window it seems the first icon on it is selected. for example on facebook, everytime I clicked on any icons like comment or homepage, there is always a square or box outlining the selected icon. I even noticed that I can drag a tab outside of the browser.

Didn't work for me, but the best thing I did is restarting it with the shutdown keyboard and I fixed it by myself! But this is still a good tutorial. (this is for people who didn't work, just hold the shutdown keyboard for 10 seconds)

Buy an external hd, backup your system and reset it. You'll have to start from scratch, so backup first
