Just got myself an M3 e92 & as usual a few mods were in order.Came across this vid & did exactly the same 2 mods.Really makes a nice difference to the all black interior.The M button is especially cool

Hey Spencer what did you use to paint the outer silver ring with? I have an m3 as well...I already replaced the start stop with a red cover but I think it’ll look a lot better with the black ring around it. Thanks in advance!

Spencer was your OEM trim the matte black? My e92 has the aluminum trim with the red interior that doesnt flow. Would love more pictures of your interior

U dont need to replace the clock spring if it moves off center. All u need to do is unbolt it from the switch unit and find the center again before reinstalling or you will over turn the wiring.

Hello Spencer! I just bought myself a 2009 bmw e92 m3. Im loving the car so far, the only problem that i have is that sometimes i start to hear some ticking noise, i think its from the exhaust. What does the ticking sound like? And does it come from the Exhaust or Engine?

Probably are the valves. They are quite sensitive to the oil used in these engines - are you using Molysil oil? Just ensure that the ticking is not a KNOCKING.

That’s right if it’s a Knocking in ur Engine it’s probably misfiring. But I think the S65 engines are pretty strong. How many miles has ur M3?

If you have dct... do the dct tune... get an intake.. and exhaust... acm exhaust mod

There is no need to disassemble half the car to install the red Start / Stop button. Simply remove the round frame and with special tools lift the entire ignition lock, remove the electrical connection, remove the old button and insert the new red button by making it enter by applying a little pressure.

What i did on mines was i bought glue sticks melt one end stick it on the original button,let it dry and cool off then pull. Comes off pretty easy. There’s video on how to do it. This video is probably the longest how to on stop start button replacement
