I’m not bringing any facts to the table to be honest besides pure eye test, but in the video they were comparing the 2013-2018 seasons, and from eye test alone hazard is better in my books. I’m not saying I’m right, but hazard legitimately single-handedly carried a piss poor Chelsea team every year, while you look at Neymar, who yes played incredible, but he had arguably the best side football has ever seen there to enable his success. And call it a hot take but I genuinely believe if you were to put hazard in place of Neymar during the msn dynasty, that Barca would have been a better side. It is just my opinion though.

I hear this a lot these days, and on this podcast too, that stats don’t matter. Stats definitely aren’t everything and are not the be all end all, but stats matter a lot. The best single thing an attacking player can do, is score or assist, that’s what the whole game is about. I don’t care if a player has the worst technique I’ve ever seen, or is awful to watch, if a player consistently gets 20+ goal contributions a season thats a great player for the level that the club are at

As a Liverpool supporter, I wanted Hazard more than Neymar, more than Messi, more than anyone around 2018 Shaun’s point was Hazards best season was better than Neymars. Carried his team to a World Cup semi final, was the best player at that tournament (conveniently showing Neymar levels in their World Cup quarter final). The following year he had the most goal contributions in the premier league along with winning the Europa League. It just comes down to what your prefer.
