His opinions on Rudiger have been right for the last 2 years. Rudiger is one of the best CB in the world currently. Better than Stones and Matip by a county mile. And this Sharky goof put Rudiger last.. Shawn has some absolutely dreadful takes and I’m not defending him but Sharky acts like he’s so intelligent and he’s really not. He bases all his opinions on technique but when Shawn mentioned a player early with better technique then his he switched up.. man just tries to manipulate peoples views and opinions to fit his narrative.. I remember when they said Stones and Laporte were both better than Dias and Dias win player of the year and guardiola never switches his position and plays every single game and got the captain arm band.. while stones gets played at RB it’s only because he’s got slightly better technique than Dias that he says this. Meanwhile Dias wins more aerial duels, wins more duels on the ground, more tackles, he’s stronger.. he’s more intelligent and makes better decision.. you never see Dias make a mistake. Kind of ridiculous to say but one of the first games of the season I think against Newcastle or Palace, city were down 2-0 Dias started to get on the ball more I think he got subbed in if I’m not mistaken? And he changed game completely.. they scored 2 goals right after that. Sharky ball knowledge is actually so limited I’m surprised people rate him this much in the comments.. it’s probably because majority of people have weak football iQ. These guys have okay football iQ but they act like they’re truly intelligent and capable of being a manager lol but hardly do they ever speak about anything aside from technique and never will you hear them speak about tactics.

Late to the party, but I think the comparison of the three is not even fair. They have entirely different roles at their teams. By far Jackie boy is the best attacker, but Maddison’s ability to create with mediocre players is so underrated. Mount is my personal favorite but he’s absolutely a role player and not much more. He’s a cog in the machine and without him chelsea suffers greatly, but he’s not individually better than Maddison or Jackie boy

Trent is not a system player, he literally is the system, hes the playmaker, corner taker, free kick taker, starts the attack, gets 12 assists a season in the prem, about 3/4 of every great attack from Liverpool start with him playing a forty yard pass, whipping in a corner, linking up down the right and above all that his next best competitor is 4 years older than him, give it a rest Sean

I genuinely think 99.99% of people haven’t got a clue what makes a good defender. People love a defender who throws his body on the line and if they’ve never seen that they don’t rate them. Hence why van Dijk to Liverpool was ridiculed, but Maguire to United was praised. That’s not the only example. Rudiger was hated by Chelsea fans until this season, yet there’s been absolutely zero change in his performances. He’s always been this good, but people didn’t rate him because Chelsea weren’t as good and he didn’t throw his body on the line, but performance wise he was rarely at fault. Now they’ve improved they can see his talent. Wan-Bissaka getting all that hype. Dias getting all that hype last season. People genuinely haven’t got a clue that it’s all about positioning and cleaning up long before you have to make a block or tackle.

For real, the disrespect towards Salah is unreal. Goalscoring record in the prem in his first season at Liverpool, and has consintantly been producing 20+ goal seasons for 5 years. Bale scored 21 goals in his best season at spurs (also the only season he broke double digits for them before leaving for Real). And Hazard scored 16 in his best season for Chelsea. Salah has literally outscored Hazards best season every season since he joined Liverpool, and has done the same to Bale in every season except for one.

I think Shawn has a really good point. Honestly, I think we all know how good benzema is. However, ignoring this season, I find it hard to believe benzema is as likely to come up in the conversation. Kane has easily been a top 5 premier league over the last 5 years. Not only is he a naturally talented/gifted striker, his intelligence on and off the ball is almost unmatched. To the about champions leagues and finals, the reason Spurs got to champions league is because is consistency in the prem. And let me ask, how easy is it for Kane or any striker to show off their ability with an England side that plays with a back 5. Honestly, without sterling, I don’t think England make it to the finals, regardless of who they put up front.
