Looks Great 👍......I love the idea of 70-75 mpgs....To make the bike more practical....I'd weld together a nice looking black rear rack that could hold a nice looking triple bag set.....My neighbor drives about 40 miles round trip 5 days a week for work.....In a big V8 Chevy Silverado, I keep telling him a used $2,000 70mpg 250 virago would pay for itself in a combination of gas savings & truck wear & tear.

I remember in the 60s a 250 was a midsized bike. Most kids had 80, 90, 125, and 175cc bikes. I say kids, like 15-18.

Love your work and your videos where you just talk and explain what you are doing. You're very good at it and they are really informative. The music ones, not so much. I turn the sound down because I find the music annoying, as in this one. The parts list/links are especially appreciated. JMHO.

Nice video. I've always liked that little V twin and have thought about "un-chopping" it with an 18" rear rim and longer shocks.

Not a fan usually of dark colors but that thing looks amazing. I just bought a brand new 2022 VStar-250 and I'm getting ready to bob it. I'm going with a retro 1970's paint scheme though. Painting the frame and all the chrome Burnt Copper, Painting the engine Bright Brown, Tank and Fender will be White with retro brown, yellow and orange fat pinstripes.

Wow. Looks awesome. I have the same bike Yamaha Virago 250 but 2003 year, I need to change a chain. But I cannot find info about how much links should be on a chain. Manual tells 140 (520DS / D.I.D.) but in Amazon there are chains with not more than 120 links. So how many links should be on the chain when it on the bike?
@AlexeyDenisiuk Жыл бұрын
@@MotoGearSolid Wow, I tried to find 1400 links )) Yeah, 140 links are present on the market, thank you ps: I am from Richmond Hill

@@MotoGearSolid by the way, I am trying to understand on how I can decrease a tension of a chain? How to increase I know, it is easy, but the other way, no ideas so far. For example www.manualslib.com/manual/612313/Yamaha-Drag-Star-Xvs250.html?page=55#manual This nut on the #3 goes only in one direction, which helps to increase tension.

Hey man, I commented on your videos last year as I had the same bike and also within the GTA. I had allot of fun on it but started experiencing issues end of season and the bike would start fine but start dying once I take it into gear. I think it has something to do with the carbs but I'm a newbie so not sure. I want to get rid of it and move onto something more reliable but wanted to reach out if you had any opinions that could help me out and what I should do.
