Giving this video a thumbs up does not do it justice... It is editing with a purpose, a direction, a thought process and it is great! You are so very good at passing on your knowledge, thank you very much for that!

Brilliant video Nick! This was such a great example with so many techniques. I really appreciate how clearly both the strategy and steps were explained. This is also a nice example of modern digital photography. Cases like this where you are collecting data more than taking a photo. When know what you can do with editing, it impacts how and what images to collect in the field. This was my 3rd time watching this. Keep these coming please!

I want to like this 1000 times! You gave me hope to revisit an old panorama photo. It was actually near that exact spot in this video at Palouse falls! It was too distorted for me to use and I had a lot of missing areas in the corners. Your video literally addressed how to fix all of these problems. Thank you so much for sharing your techniques for everyone to learn from. I'm actually excited to go back and fix it!

Well done, Nick! Something I always love about your post processing videos is that you articulate what you're thinking/noticing as you go. It really helps to provide some "why" context to the "how." Even when I know how to do the technique you're using, I still get value out of understanding why YOU chose to use that technique.

What a fantastic video. Excellent walkthrough and explanation of your thought process. An “AHA” moment I had watching your excellent video was shooting a panorama from the brightest point and outward, as well as stopping to analyze what a photo needs. I do this naturally, but it’s more instinctual, rather than intentional, so stopping to analyze really helps me hone in more meaningful editing. Couple things come to mind: 1. Leveling my tripod exactly before shooting will minimize post editing transformation. 2. It is my understanding that leaving sharpening to the last steps of editing is best to reduce artifacts, especially if you are printing large. Yet you sharpen your foreground earlier in your process….I’m going to try this moving forward. Nick- your work and teaching style is fantastic. Thanks!

Very nice! Yes, so helpful to watch and hear you explain, you do it so well. I know a lot of this procedure, but I just can't get enough affirmation from my own side, lol, and it's great to see someone else go through the process. thanks so much Nick.....

A great video and one that clearly shows I have such a long way to go in learning the programs... That said your presentation is easy and concise to follow what is a difficult subject to show across social media. In my old training days we had a the three principle where it took that hands on approach and three times before anything sunk in and became 'easier'. (tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them and then tell them what you just told them). The benefit of video is that as a reference to the second and third part of the three it is always available. What made this is that while many will go "how did you do that again" the presentation is easy to listen to and easy to follow even if the actual process may not be and that is where you have it in spades... In a recent request you asked about content and this is a good follow up vid because it offers information, tips, a challenge to us all all wrapped into a friendly no fuss approach. OK so not outside and when ready I am sure that too shall follow with some epic content too. The other lesson I take is to look at life differently and experience and enjoy all I do and that is priceless. One request. Maybe sometime can you explain/show the editing equip you have on the desk (very short vid maybe? ) I have a desktop that runs Lightroom/Photoshop among other programs and you have tablets, pads, buttons, sliders etc etc.... Cheers from downunder...

I'm pausing this video midstream to comment: I have a photo from the Grand Canyon I took in 2018 that, while a single exposure, has all the same issues that your HDR pano does. An epic sky, a valley in shadow that has little contrast, and a slightly blown-out part of the sky along the right edge of the horizon from the sun (rising, in my case). I've struggled to process it for years, and only after buying your Photoshop course a few years ago have I gotten even a decent result. I now see even more possibilities for it. Painting a little color into the blown-out sky never even occurred to me. Back to the drawing board! 😁

Nice to see Palouse Falls again. A friend. and I were flying above it in a Cessna 150, when he asked Walla Walla tower for a speed check. The ATC came back with "just barely".
