@@JurijsJutjajevs I’ve always been intimidated by high tech setups because I don’t like using co2, but I really have the perfect tank and lighting for a high tech setup 😅 I’m swapping sand for soil again after having algae issues. I’m still thinking of the layout, but an iwagumi like this might be the perfect scape!

Glad you shared the carpet maintenance issues, most channels leave a build on the results without summarising maintenance and tank troubleshooting.

Some people might find it embarrassing to share failures, I believe it helps keeping it real. In addition negative examples are stronger and help memorize the lesson

Hey Juri Great video as usual 😊 I have a tip for you, I found a handy tool in Davinci Resolve (I think you're editing with it) In the colour tab and search "deflicker" in the top right hand corner then drag it onto the node. Then just use the "detail to restore" slider to kill the flickering. It should completely remove the flicker from the Lighscreen and lights.

Excellent and concise tutorial. 👍 I am not much of an Iwagumi person myself, but I can appreciate the concept. What next? Uhm, I like wood structures, so maybe an Island scape with wood, supporting rocks and cosmetic sand surrounding it? I'd love to see a couple of videos, in the same way like this one. 😎

You are very good at coming up with new (great) video ideas, that is why i follow your channel :) that being said, i liked that your analysis of several tanks to find out common plants, maybe you could talk about that a bit more? (maybe an analysis of several tanks and some of the rocks/plants/fish/tank size could be an interesting video).

nice scape, im glad you gave the walk through with it as well. although i think iwagumis are a little overrated, doesnt change that less detailed scapes leave little room for error. i actually plan on doing one in the future with red pumice/lava rock myself so it was really nice to see someone more experienced do it as well.

@JurijsJutjajevs9 ай бұрын
Apt zero = Apt 1 And yes I’ve been using apt zero from the start for the entire time. Carpeting plants get most of what they need from the soil anyway. After planting I added special blend and Nite out from arka and on d I added the fish Thera p as well. Since the aquarium was already pre cycled (dark start) I only added the microbe lift products bi weekly as recommended

Great Aquascaping content! I wonder how did you deal with that algae outbreak? less light time? less CO2 injection? Thanks in advance!
@JurijsJutjajevs8 ай бұрын
First things first I removed the source of trouble and trimmed down the carpet harsh and syphoned all melting and loose plant matter. Afterwards I did what usually helps in most cases: bump up the CO2, clean filter, dose some good bacteria, and stay on top with regular water changes. In addition I spot treated some algae on the rocks with APT fix lite.

Currently your tank is my inspiration, i love your choice for rocks, btw you ever experienced any melting in the initial stage? Alot of people says tissue culture plants do melt at beggining, you ever had any issue like that so far?

TC plants are sensitive to ammonia spikes. Performing a dark start prior planting will help avoid plant melting

@JurijsJutjajevs9 ай бұрын
@urosvujanovic79629 ай бұрын

You're always supposed to use an odd number of stones. Part of the natural imperfection of iwagumi
@metallixro9 ай бұрын
That rock type doesnt do it for me at all, guess its the color that imo doesnt go well with the green plants. Im not a Iwagumi expert by any means, but isnt there too much space left from the top of the highest rock to the water surface ? Looks a bit weird would have elevated it a bit more :) Anyway, high quality video production as always a pleasure to watch!
@JurijsJutjajevs9 ай бұрын
It’s rather unusual I agree. IMHO the color goes well with the green, but it’s very colorful, which isn’t common for iwagumi. The issue with the open space at the top would be solved for photo contest by lowering the water level
