Start To Finish: Modern Bamboo House Construction In The Philippines

Introducing: The Bergado Farm and Villas first villa, the Bamboo Z Villa.
This is how our first villa was built in the last quarter of 2021. It is a combination of steel, concrete and bamboo materials. It is located in Calaca, Batangas, Philippines.

Incredibly beautiful. We are actually designing our house to look about the same but the entire bottom level will be lifted off the ground as we are in a flood prone area and we don't want our house to be flooded and we will use under the house as a parking area for the vehicles. Everything is beautiful. Only thing I would change is making the showers bigger just because I'm 6'2" tall and need a lot of space to be able to move around. Very beautiful house and very well done! Thank you for sharing.

How often do you have to renew the mats on the floors, walls, and ceilings? How well does the construction do in Taifuns? I see the concrete structure is very earthquake proof.

it held up well to past typhoons and earthquakes. It's been 2 yrs but I have not replaced the wall and ceiling mats. My guess is that interior could last for 15 years and exterrior maybe 6 yrs

@@dianne.c pwede naman, it's all up to your preference and management. Kung babantayan nyo ay makakatipid kayo but if you get a contractor eh syempre kung ano presyo nya at materyales bibilhin nya. In our case, we picked all the materials. Our flooring on the 2nd floor is hardwood which is expensive, our roof trusses are steel, at matibay po ang pundasyon namin as you can see. Maybe a little overkill but it's for lifetime. FYI, don't use anahaw roof, very high maintenance and short lived.

@@rheneberg it was destroyed during the storm right ? I'm no hater and far from envious why would I be lol I live in a country with real buildings without cockroach and flys and dirty nasty insects. Clean roads top stores excellent hospitals and schools. Excellent buisnesses good jobs excellent pay, Clean drinking water. The philippines is dirty and hot and sweaty and smelly. I wouldn't live there if I was paid. Food there is so unhealthy, rabid country.

I don’t recommend this contractor. They didn’t finish our house though the workers are really good, they didn’t pay their salary so the workers left our house unfinished.

I think they're not in business anymore. Not sure what happened but good thing I was acting as project manager. I had them come back for few repairs and back jobs. We did other repairs ourselves.
