Although, neither one are infinite...as far as we know the universe is not infinite, if it were, it could not be expanding...it would simply "just be there". Human "stupidity", I guess that depends on if you prescribe to the A.I. theory about where mankind MAY be going... Humans fully integrating with technology... change my mind lol

@@JIMMYMUSH I would personally say that enlightenment is the ability for one person -such as myself- to retain information in a way that can be used in real life application. I once read a book titled "Firefly" written by Piers Anthony. That creature was from Earth, but very different from most of our experience, in appearance like the Blob. However, it used pheromones to attract it's prey, and once in contact had other chemicals that would immobilize it's prey. In the story, this worked very well on humans. The giant amoeba was not the horror in this story. The real horror was how we treat each other. @ 33:00 I saw the movie "Somewhere In Time" and loved it. As it happens, I have been to Mackinac Island to the hotel the movie was filmed in. Watching brought back so many memories of being there, I almost felt I had gone back in time myself.

@@ΘάνατοςΧορτοφάγος Actually, Xenomorph is just a fancy word for Alien in Greek, as it means foreign form or Foreign shape. It's just a fancy way of saying alien. First time watching. Stumbled on it when I was watching, "The Price Of Fame," on Tubi. It was where I saw Chuck Njce and thought how much that he, (Chuck,) looks like Erni Hudson. (Might be great to see Chuck and Hudson in a movie together as brothers.) [The movie could be a comedy called, "Brothers."] Anyway, I decided to Google Chuck and fine out more about him and jn doing so, I found, "Star Talk." I have been a fan of Neal's for a few years. I like science and Neal has inspired me that I as a Black man can achieve to high levels. And Chuck, not only is a comedy genius. But I find that Chuck is also really smart in science. I also like that the two are very humble, down to earth guys. (Yeah, we'll be good friends...) Looking forward to seeing more of, "Star Talk!"

*I haven't taken a science class since early nineties* Assumption 1: There are particles that bounce between "existence" and "nonexistence". Assumption 2: These particles aren't affected by gravity. Otherwise, gravity would keep them locked in "existence". Assumption 3: What if the particles are really bouncing between our universe and another universe? Meaning, they are always in existence, but the location of their existence is what is changing (again, our universe and another universe).

Paused the video at 4:30 to watch 1958's "The Blob". I'd seen the 80's version but so far this is much better. Thanks Neil! 1h 20 mins later: They dropped it in the Arctic?! I forgot about that. Puts a whole new spin on the prevention of global warming eh?

A similar story to Neil's description of the time loop is the Bootstrap Paradox. I learned it from Doctor Who, but it goes something like this: There's a man of the future who is obsessed with the works of Ludwig van Beethoven. He has all of his sheet music in his collection. One day, he learns a time machine has been invented. Of course the first thought on his mind is to meet Beethoven, his hero. So he travels through time and finds, to his horror, nobody has ever heard of Beethoven. Beethoven doesn't exist. The man is crushed, as he cannot live in a world without the works of Ludwig. However, he realizes that he has all of Beethoven's sheet music with him. So he publishes Beethoven's music. He has them conducted. So where did the notes come from? Whose mind conjured the melodies? Who really wrote Beethoven's Fifth?

Most people make the mistake of thinking Arthur C. Clarke wrote 2001 but actually the screenplay was written by Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke, and was inspired by Clarke's 1951 short story "The Sentinel" and other short stories by Clarke. A novel released after the film's premiere was in part written concurrently with the screenplay. And Kubrick withheld facts about his movie from Clarke on purpose to make it more of its own thing.

My time travel would involve meeting JS Bach, presenting him with even a rudimentary sound recording device, get him to play and then playing his own performance back to him. Leaving aside the cries of witchcraft, I ponder over what his reaction would be.

I do not think any of your followers need a new podcast so bad that you have to suffer. Take some time off. Have a hot totty or two or 10. Come back when you are feeling better.

I recently watched Back to the Future in Netflix. Why time travel is impossible? There are two types of changes in chemistry, physical and chemical. Everything we see is the product of either the changes. Time is illusion, it is the matter that moves and changes. So, going back to 1980’s would require you to reverse the changes of things on a grand scale.
