brrrrpppppp, yea buddy, that door # 10, sure is a tight one to back into, I knew you could do it even with one eye closed, lol.. Thanx for the ride along. Also thanx for doing your part in keeping the freight moving here in the usa. So you mentioned the Trans Am you had, After high school, I got a 1970 Trans Am, 400 c.i. it had the ram air 3 or 4 engine, 4 speed muncie trans. I enjoyed it for not to long, as a intoxicated driver ran a stop sign, I did all I could trying to avoid the car, but mine was totaled. Anyway, Lots of luck on losing weight brah, willpower, willpower. Just a thought, maybe when your home, make a couple healthy meals, put them in tupperware, if you have a microwave, fridge in the Pete, would sure beat eating the fast or truck stop food. Stay safe !!!!!

If you’ll be spending all this time on the road away from your family, you should definitely get your own truck. After you get your own truck, start your own company and drive for yourself like I’m doing right now. I don’t mind helping you get your own MC number and helping you or anyone else set everything up. It’s pretty easy to do. You don’t have to pay thousands to someone to start it up for you. You can get it done for less than $1000 plus whatever your insurance would be.

I am 55 retired from state job. I have 20 yrs experience driving semi locally. I am thinking about becoming an owner operator . Just in the thought phase right now and looking at trucks. What would you suggest or recommend sir
@OTRBandit2 ай бұрын
I would recommend any glider truck with Detroit engine. They are easy to work on and don’t have all that emissions crap. If you can’t find glider truck that works, get the truck that you can repair where you live. If you have Freightliner in your town, get Freightliner. If you have Kenworth in your town, get kenworth. The reason for that is. When you’re home and need to do some work on your truck, you don’t want to be taking it somewhere 2-3 hours away to get it fixed. But I would recommend a glider truck with Detroit 60 like Freightliner Columbia or Coronado. They don’t look as good as this one that I have. But they run just as good and they make money just like any other truck. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

I have found a 2016 389 like yours but red. Has. 12.7 Detroit with 440k on rebuild. Truck has 858k on it. 130k. Is that reasonable price. Seems to be clean nice truck
@OTRBandit2 ай бұрын
@@Bruce-eo3hd It’s pretty reasonable for that truck and mileage. Especially since the engine has been rebuilt. I wouldn’t go that high on the price for my first truck though. But if you can afford it, why not. If you’re ok with payments that are coming with that price, that would definitely be good truck to get. This is a great time to buy trucks because loads are not paying that good right now. As soon as market rebounds and loads start paying good, that truck will jump up in price.

He did the U-turn because he COULD do the U-turn! LOL Doesn’t make him stupid, as you called him. You couldn’t try it because you couldnt do it in your truck right there. Period! Somewhere else maybe but your cab is too long to do a U in that particular space. His wasn’t. Just because drivers do things different than you doesn’t make them wrong or a ‘douche’ (your fave name call that went out in the 80s by the way hahaha). Newer, and younger drivers than yourself, just do things a different way then you. that’s all. Relax and let them.
@OTRBandit2 ай бұрын
Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. He almost knocked 100 pallets down with his trailer. He was a huge douche for doing that u turn there. Actually he was not a douche, he was just a stupid moron for doing that. New generation is killing themselves out here and allot of people with them. New generation of drivers does things differently but it’s not good for anyone. We can’t park anywhere because of them. They throw their poop bags and piss bottles everywhere and everyone hates us because of them. If you think we should let them keep doing that and not call them out for that.

That WAS ignorant! 🤣 Anyway, you have a point but I receive 53’ trucks daily at my little office/warehouse M-F in Norfolk, VA. They always do ‘U-turns’ in our parking lot and never cease to amaze me how the hell he/she did it!! So close to a Jack-knife it’s not even funny! I receive anywhere from 1-4 trucks a day.
