Are you doing car detailing? I live in LA and want to start a business similar to this. I currently do doordash. I make like 250 with doordash a day and am wondering if you think I'll have work everyday and if you think I would be able to make like 450-1200 a day?

I've been in the carpet cleaning industry for about 15 years. Best advice I can give is get IICRC certified. Chemistry obviously plays a huge role in detailing. The chemistry in carpet cleaning may not always be the same depending on the situation. If you don't know what you're doing you could end up paying for an oriental rug or potentially voiding a carpet warranty. This isn't meant to scare you. I just encourage you to get the proper education. A course will cost around $250. Well worth it and then learn from others in your area. If you ever have any questions don't hesitate to reach out! Also very few cleaners use a 17 inch CRB. Most of us use a 10 or 15 inch. Lighter and can reach in tighter areas.

Happy for you man. Just be careful not to spread yourself/focus out too thin. I know it can be very tempting to start a new business but try to make your detailing business fully automated so it doesn’t require you anymore so then you can go 100% into carper cleaning business. Your attention/focus is like your money so spend it where you feel will give the biggest ROI in the present and future. Keep up the hustle.👊

@@chrislittle7285 You can use a rinsing agent in the extractor or plain water. A deodorizer can also be in the extractor. you should always use a pre spray to apply the detergent to the carpet. then use the extractor for the rinse and removal.

Can I ask where people dump all the toxic, man-made chemicals and other crap that comes out of one of these machines?🤢 Are there laws or rules around this?.. like not dumping them into a storm water drain that goes into a river or ocean? Also why do people use chemicals and not hydrogen peroxide or vinegar?. better yet just plain hot water🤷

About 2 weeks late but it's the same as other business ....post all over every social media ....bandit signs, flyers, door knocks etc (check local laws about solicitors) ......and price wise you can get the portable models way cheaper and work well with a 1 story house , or you can use a orbital , if you can't afford to buy or finance a truck mount you will just have to use more chem and take longer letting the chemicals do the work
