I just started playing FS 22 and was totally lost. How you explain the machines and equipment and changes that you are adding to them, is helping me so much. I'm following this series very closely and feel like when I'm done I will know enough to be well on my way to being a successful farmer. Thank you.

I'm glad to hear that you will continue to do it your way, I have seen about 5 people start with a truck and a chainsaw and that's more than enough. I do realise that a 'Start with nothing' series means that there are basically only 3 options, (grass, trees or contracts) and they have all been done before but your style (taking loans and working off the debt) is refreshing.

I believe you might find a wood sell point to the right of the first sell point, as you enter the that area.

I am on FS19's version of this map and that hilly area you are asking about at about an hour and twenty minutes in is a real pain in the butt to cultivate, seed, and harvest. Since it is so hilly and undulating, your cultivator and seeder will bounce around and miss sections. Your combine harvester will HATE going up the hills, and it will struggle to get up the inclines. I turned mine into a crop field only because, starting out, that was the only way I could make decent money. Once things get up and running, I will convert it to a grass field. The tiny part across the road from it is nice and flat and would be a great spot for animal pens. Before you start to plow up the big field near the back of your property, I would go ahead and cut down the small pine trees. They will just be annoying obstacles later.

Tanks VF this series made me play FS when it came out 😀

I am not playing in the same way you are, but for my first few crops, I just had to get them in the ground and harvest to get my cash as I didn't allow myself loans. After a couple of harvests, I then invested in a lime spreader and a sprayer. The one thing I still haven't purchased is a roller. I want to get some fruit tree productions going and perhaps a chicken coop, and then I'll see what I have leftover for a roller.

One thing you can do as a bit of a hack is using the mod that allows cultivators to act as plows. You can get some fairly cheap cultivators with much larger working widths than the plows. Now, I don't use the flimsy looking chain cultivators because they tend to bounce over bumps and hills and miss spots. I only use the very sturdy looking ones that kind of look like plows in their own right.

This might be the Massey Ferguson tractor that has an either/or front end. You can either have a front weight, or a front loader attachment, but you can't have both at the same time. I would try taking off your front loader attachment at the shop and then go in to front end config and there is probably a weight you can put on.

The farm sell point will take loose silage, and the one on the side that you found will take bales. The farm shop will also take logs.

Using the chainsaw vertical on the stumps works too LOL

Yeah, I don't understand that justification. Because you could have just used the equipment that came with the series on Easy Mode. And if you wanted to, you could have taken out a $200000 loan initially and given a way, the starting amount so that you can start from 0 and the gravity equipment that comes with it. And that $200000 would be theoretically. The amount that you put into the form initially. That way, you can start with basic equipment and still happy advantage of not getting a bunch of new equipment. Which kind of seems a little extra imo

Goodness, $250K or more in debt already, and you haven't even sourced a seed drill, a spreader of some sort, or a combine harvester.

At the end of the day it is your series and it is entertaining i just don't like loans

The base set up for this map, at least on FS19 Gives you the following: Wooden shack: $10,000 A storage shed next to the shack: ? A smaller storage shed near the front end of the property: ? A weather vane that doesn't work A water pump next to the lake that allows you to fill tanks: ? A fairly significant tractor: ? The starting pickup truck: To buy new is $30,000 And some various farming equipment, seeder, etc. Wood chipping shed next to the lake: ? It allows you to chop the trees you've cut down without having to tow it all the way to the shop at the other end of the map. Shed with vehicle workshop installed: ? Grain Silo: ? I believe when you sell just the equipment itself off and nothing else, you wind up with around $200,000. What I do is then buy the small equipment I will use ( crappy small tractor like the Massey Ferguson pack that has the small grey tractor from the 1940's, the small flatbed trailer that comes in that pack, and a chainsaw) and then I delete the rest of the money to start with nothing.

Im going to start a no mans land gane tomorrow but i am going to change the license plates to a US style of some sort. I dont like the EU style. Although it would be cool if there was a US style EU version like I had when i was stationed in Germany 😂

I have FS19 and have begun a No Man's Land game a while back starting out with essentially the same equipment another YTer had. No money, a small and underpowered, ancient Massey Ferguson with a flatbed trailer that was made for it in the Mod, a chainsaw, and no money. Started on the plot of land with the wood cabin, wood chipper, and one field ready for a crop. I am also not allowed to take any loans, or lease any equipment, so the only money I can use to buy anything is the money I create myself. I did the typical of mowing down trees so that I could buy a plow, a seed drill, a combine (that took forever since FS19 no longer will support outside of Giants approved 3rd party mods, so I still had to come up with around 15K). After my first crop I bought a fertilizer and weed sprayer, then saved up for a cultivator to create new crops, then bought myself a new 4WD John Deere 6300 tractor. I now have 3 crop fields, two greenhouses, some bailing equipment, a bale autoloading trailer. I am thinking about adding some fruit trees and chicken coops next. I am just about at the level of income where I can afford to buy a new plot of land. Once I do that I am going to be looking into revamping my fleet of equipment to start going on a massive grass mowing campaign to create silage. Eventually I want to build up the map into a town with various productions and such.

Why have you got a front mower on the back of your tractor Jesus you need an offset mower
@billwhitis9997Ай бұрын
You're going to find that silage is not nearly as valuable as in fs 19.
