Honestly, I've tried to watch this a couple times, but I keep falling asleep. I've really been struggling with my mental health for the last couple months, and I can't seem to stay awake very long. It has been taking me a whole day or more to get through a video. But I am happy to support you, as your content has always helped me. so, thank you, for all the great videos and dialogue!!

And you should do more zoning. Like all the black void should be zoned as corridors so your cleaning staff can move around. :)

This game is amazing : D thanks for playing it. Also, it's much cheaper to just make your own room, then save it as a prefab for later. The premade they provide are not a 100% optimal.

21:35. Let me give a TL:DR of these terms as I understand them. Attending is a fully independent doctor who has already completed her residency and optional fellowship. Fellow is a high level training doctor, learning a specialty (and/or doing research). Resident is a starting and intermediate level training doctor, focused on general stuff. (Caveat: I don't know if the game defines these terms the same as the real-world definitions.) Fellows and Residents are fully graduated and fully licensed, but are under the supervision of an attending. In essence a doctor will graduate and get licensed, then go directly into a residency for a few years to get all-around training. Then she can opt to become an attending, or she can opt for further training in a fellowship and then become an attending. An Intern would be a person still in medical school, not yet graduated and licensed. An intern would definitely have to be under supervision. [Anyone, please feel free to correct any info or add to this.]

Great game. First I noticed that you have general practice right beside the emergency drop off. When you get your ambulance you'll get emergency patients. They should not go through the same area as general patients. They should have their own secluded building.
@Deron85642 жыл бұрын
Aha. Good suggestion. I assumed these were emergency patients just walking in. But now that I think about it, his patients weren't high acuity. So now we know he needs an ambulance service to get ER patients.
@Deron85642 жыл бұрын
49:30 "open medical laboratory". I am assuming they are referring to basic lab services. "Hematology clinic" would be the first place I'd start since that processes all the blood samples. That gives you basic electrolytes, blood counts, liver enzymes, and lots of other basic things you get from a blood sample. I would then say microbiology lab would be the second most important, since that would analyze samples of fluid or tissue for the presence of bacteria, viruses, fungus, etc.

When building a new department you'll need to first zone all the rooms that you'll need in that department. If you are building prefabs you just need to get the measurements before zoning that room. Don't forget to zone up corridors for each department so that the janitors can work. It's easier to begin with zoning so that when you build the rooms it will belong to that department.

41:25 radiology needs a waiting room? I wonder if this is because it's classified as a "radiology clinic", which would imply that it handles walk-in patients. I wonder if there is a radiology department that doesn't require a waiting room, in this game? One that patients in the ER are wheeled to as part of their overall ER visit. In real life there would be a radiology lab area in an Emergency Department that only handles the ER patients. Doing Xrays and CT scans of the ER patients.

Sorry this is so much after the fact, but in real life, Emergency departments are required under EMTALA to accept any insurance, or even the uninsured, and not to allow that to affect the quality of care. After that point, where they send you as far as any potential inpatient stays, or further care beyond emergency, that is where not taking the insurance comes into play.

Second person I watch who is playing this. Warning: The other person has just found a reason to start wishing his patients would die. What that is I won't spoiler, but it's gonna be interesting to see if you decide you want to go murder hobo too. Kanz (talking about staff): "Treating them well... NOT treating them well... well obviously treating them well." Me: Yeah, I think I've had employers whose commitment to staff wellbeing is as convincing as that statement. ;)

If it's who I'm thinking of... I stopped watching his series despite being starved for Project Hospital content because he played so badly. I usually am more patient but he still hadn't figured out active treatments vs available treatments by episode 17 - _literal basics here_😑 Even if Kanzalone doesn't do well at first, there's no way he won't pick it up faster than that, at the _very_ least Sorry for the rant, just had to get that off my chest. Don't feel obligated to reply if you don't want to
@yorkieandthechihuahua2 жыл бұрын
@@raerohan4241 I can't remember if he'd figured active vs available treatments - honestly I have never touched the game so the person I'm thinking about... his play through was the first thing I'd seen. I watch different people for different reasons and I love his style of presentation more than his gameplay. To each their own of course.

@@yorkieandthechihuahua Oh I don't dislike his content. I'm still subscribed to him. But he's not great at reading instructions and tooltips, so it's sometimes an exercise in frustration watching him try to play a game where that skill is needed. He has other strengths, but not in that area
@yorkieandthechihuahua2 жыл бұрын
@@raerohan4241 Oh I won't argue against that. Truth is, lots of us go through that sometimes. Imagine turning up to a hospital and being turned away because they don't accept you're insurance, like wtf? only in America.
@VinceAwesomeGaming Жыл бұрын
Well that's not true at all. Insurance or not, all these places will see and treat you. Its just a matter or who's paying the majority of the outrageously high bills that make no sense.. None of these places will turn you away.
@Deron85642 жыл бұрын
Not sure if this is true in game, but in real life radiology is an essential part of any Emergency Department. Foundational, I would argue. Getting the radiology lab early on is probably a good move on your part.
