I get more lift in the enameled Dutch oven vs the cast iron. I’m not sure why. Congrats on your business! I’m starting mine slowly - trying to get LLC.

Did you use a LLC? I'm just starting this sourdough first and eventually adding roasted coffee. I'm in Wisconsin, your videos have been so helpful 🙏🏼

@@madarafarms I found a air roaster they are a little pricey but can do 18 pounds of coffee in an hour 👀 I have four little ones so making an income at home is the goal, I know people who made more just selling bags of coffee than the cafe! I have to plumb and add electric to an outbuilding so I'm hoping to just get started with bread. I know of people who used their front porch to do it, I have heard it will be strong coffee smell though 😆

Could I ask what you are able to charge for your loaves and how you figured the pricing out?

Of course! I charge $8-$12 retail and $5-$7 wholesale. I’m in a lower income area so I can’t charge much more than that. Depending on where you live your price will vary. Figure out what your cost is and make sure to at least triple that. Go to your local markets and bakeries to see how much they charge.

Hi! I have a similar set up to you kitchen-wise and am working on doing more bulk-baking. How do you time/navigate where your dough that has all been shaped at the same time stays while some are in the oven? Do you keep them in the fridge while they wait their baking turn? Hope my question makes sense! 🙂

I started following ur page, u really inspire me, tx for sharing ur sourdough journey. I started 3 mths ago and haven't looked back. I am selling sourdough bread and starter in a jar to get people started and trusting that it's not complicated. I am from SA. How long in advance do ur customers order and how long do they wait before getting their bread?
