Word to the wise... If you expect to travel abroad, you need to NOTIFY your bank. If you don't, they will consider your transactions as "suspicious" and will STOP any activity. I had the same problem. Ps: Capital One is really strict with this. And... YES, Charles Schwab is the bank to have if you travel outside of the US. You get refunded for ''all'' ATM fees at the end of the month.

Flying is a challenge for 80% of America because we are larger, process foods and huge portions do not help. Thank you for sharing your thoughts of being plus size around the world.

Grear chat! I have had my cards compromised in Colombia and Ecuador.. common scam is for people to place devices in ATMs that will copy your number. Schwab, Navy, and AmEx are good abroad.

Great interview. her experience working on the local economy at $500/month is the reality for those who live in the Caribbean and Latin America - been there and plan never to do that again. Using that passport to get yourself the best of both worlds is super smart.

Cartagena is amazing and fun. Lots of beaches to swim at. Lots of historic places to see. But yes. Watch out for local people doing scams and trying to force a sales on you.

I’m so happy Raven acknowledged her lightskin privilege. It IS real. I straighten my hair before flights because I look more ambiguous and, sadly, it’s the only way to keep BLACK tsa folks out of my hair. It’s them 99% of the time.

Can you please share the name of the Spanish school that helps you get the 1 year visa. Also, does that visa allow me to bring my underage kids with me? Does it allow them to attend public school? Thank you.

Why were you shocked? I know of people named Dowe or Dow. It is not that uncommon of a name.

Guys, before you move to another country, please travel for an extensive amount of time first so that you can be savvy as to what may occur while abroad. You can take longer trips afterwards. Then after all this, then you move. Also, I would never move nor travel anywhere where I don't speak a local language fluently for extended periods. Being black is hard enough. Being black while travelling to places with scarce black populations is another story. I have travelled to a few places where I didn't speak the local language, and I was also not of the local skin tone. However, it was for short periods, and I got along well with English and Spanish in all of these areas.

-Medellín is not suitable for larger people because we don’t have that many. -Our food is simply seasoned because we prefer the authentic test of the ingredients. -We don’t have estrato 7, just 1-6. - Scopolamine is a common drug used in Colombia to rob no only tourist but local people. You can become from taxi or Uber drives, restaurants, bars, or even while walking in the street and you won’t even notice it. -I agree that if you want to date, it’s better to import your man. - Living in El Poblado, Medellín is equivalent to living in Upper West Side, New York. -Medellín has a big black population, however you will not see them in El poblado. They go there only for work which is usually as house cleaning, construction workers, or cooking in restaurants. -Ray ven doesn’t blend there because she carries herself as an American. She looks and behave differently than black Colombians, which is good if you ask me because you will be treated better! In other words, she is Latino passing in Colombia. - Yes, the coffee is not good because they export the finest one to countries willing to pay well for it.

With COVID that wasn’t very wise to invade the interviewee space like that to have the other lady say something. The vaxysine sheds and the vaccinated aren’t immune. You still have to keep a distance.
