The trick to moving to lower cost countries is to have an American paycheck coming in each month. Whether it’s a remote job, or retirement income, or social security checks or rental investment money, you need an American income coming in. I do not recommend moving to a foreign country to seek work there. That is an amateur move that never turns out well and you will find yourself begging for money from friends and family back in the USA. Even starting a business in that foreign country is feasible but make sure you have a full year of savings to live on while you get the business going.
@KellyKels2323 күн бұрын
@HoneyBunches100 and it's hard find a fully remote job if you don't have a career in IT, engineering, consulting etc. I work remote, but it only allows me to work in the US like many other positions. I've been looking for something else all year with no luck.

@@Kamase318 There are many countries that are more affordable even with the currency exchange. When you go from US rents of 1,200, 1,500 up to 2,500 and more to other countries were the rent is 350-500 for a one bedroom and many places are furnished, some offering utilities, it's doable. You can do an exploration visit by renting Airbnb monthly in different locations. I did that usually paying 450 a month in MX and Europe and everything is included, furnishings, utilities, wifi. In several locations the Airbnb owners asked if I wanted to stay permanently on a month to month basis. They prefer a good tenant vs weekly turn overs.
