I’ve found a few of your shorts as I’ve begun to search how to optimize my factories and reduce the frustration I have when I need to tear apart a factory when I simply cannot make it efficient with whatever tier I unlock. You are extremely informative and helpful, thank you for your effort and enthusiasm for the game at your age!

highly recommend upgrading your chainsaw into Nobelisks with the Sulfur research, Much more efficient for clearing foliage especially those pesky foundation weeds sticking through your platforms(*Warning* pioneer safety not guaranteed). Hope this helps!

Trucks are great now. If you can drive the route, then the truck will work it out or teleport in a reasonable time. And building highways is great with the mk3 blueprint designer.

I generally just belt things as the (my skies may be filled with long stretches of foundation carrying a bunch of belts), but I do wish you could have a setting where you can place a longer belt (with it automatically placing/connecting to supports. They are just so simple to use and absolutely reliable, once it is there you will get the constant supply of the resources But I am planning to add at least one material supplied by trucks and one by trains just to say I did. Trucks to me seem like a sort of unhappy medium where if you can't belt it, you are probably going to be fair enough to use a train or drone, but they are definitely are great for creative play.

IMO, the only vehicle worth getting is the explorer... To me rail freight is more efficient than trucks, and hypertubes are the fastest point to point transport in the game. the only thing the vehicles are good for is the explorer for well exploring. Roads take a lot of effort and resources that are outperformed by the rail system very quickly.

Maybe it's my thick skull ... What trick? After (re)starting for v1.0 and discovering what those mercer/dimensional stuff is meant for. I was trying to be smart. Like literally smart splitter and then feeding things into dimensional container, and overflow goes to buffer/ad-hoc storage, production ...etc. Instead of all that fancy stuff ... Wherever I would previously have just (industrial) storage [or chain of several] for ad-hoc picking up stuff to make/build things . Now I simply just add/feed from that into dimensional storage/uploader. And actually when it comes to iron plates, concrete (and even encased beams [because Mk.4 belts] and iron rods [because ad-hoc ladders]) - I have more than one place/pipeline feeding those into dimensional storage/uploader. Since I've collected enough mercer spheres - I actually started doing dimensional uploads even for raw and midway stuff (e.g. sulfur, coal ...etc). That way I can quickly drop an ad-hoc constructor/assembler/manufacturer (add few shards and somersloops) and in next to no time semi-manually (manually feeding materials/components) manufacture 50/100/200 things you often need to unlock some technology.

@techcodenet the specific "trick" was to use the lower output of the industrial container below the floor. I set mine up with a single storage feeding the dimensional storage on top as it fit my factory better.

I would consider putting the dimensional storage under the container and using an elevator to move it rather than the belt for a cleaner setup, though. I have the opposite with my dimensional storage on top of containers using elevators.

@@techcodenetoh man, I was so annoyed when I was finished my aluminum and went to the site of my new megafactory to plop down the hub and research Mk5 belts to find that I didn't have 20 iron ore anywhere. I promptly put all raw materials into dimensional storage.

hi Doc! be aware that if you put truck stations too close of each other, the truck will auto load/unload on all stations it passes nearby and break your product chain happened to me and I had to redo all my stations and paths x_X

you can also remove the "pause node" that has been wrongly assign! pretty usefull in some cases

The M.A.M. does not recognize the Dimensional Depot inventory. Pioneer must manually move items from Dimensional Depot into Pioneer's inventory to do M.A.M. research.

I cant get the damn blueprint for my 1m incline road to snap correctly to my road. It's really frustrating. I also made a 30 degree road turn and it snaps correctly, but there is a 1m gap between the road sections.. what am I doing wrong?

For the incline, I started to add foundations manually under it so the blueprint had something to target with my mouse at the right height. In my version of the 30 degree turns, the first "row" of platforms overlapped the foundation on the inside edge by quite a bit. I only worried about matching the outside corner. Maybe that's what you're missing? We had a great suggestion on our livestream yesterday to upload our blueprints to our discord server. I haven't done it yet, but I will soon. If you join the Discord (link is in the video description) you will have access as soon as they are made available.

If you google "satisfactory interactive map", there is a button in the upper right corner of the website that lets you upload your .SAV file. To find that file, google "where does Satisfsctory save to".

Hi. I really enjoyed the very informative shorts you produced, so I started watching your videos and livestreams and to my huge disappointment you kinda suck at this game, given Satisfactory is your favourite game. I think 95% of the credit for success of this channel should go to your son Rob. Watching the livestreams I observed almost all the time you have no idea what you are doing and being very slow ans sluggish. If not constant support of your sons you wouldn't make any progress or your progress would be ridiculously slow. You definitely (I hope) know the game mechanics, but not really know how to efficiently implement them into your own gameplay. I find it hypocritical to tutor other players how to play the game when you actually have small idea how to play it yourself. Cudos to Rob for creating amazing channel, keep up the great work!
