It has been not started for 15 years. On this spot it has been standing for 4 years. It was towed there.

I love these old Mercedes vans. Amazing how the old diesel fired up so easily after all that time. That is real reliability. I bet few modern vehicles would do that after sitting for 15 years.

Especially since they don't have a engine to start haha but yes, after sitting for 15 years the lithium battery will not hold any charge, let alone the stupid computer systems refusing to power the motor unless everything is perfect and it receives the latest update from Tesla, and once it has verified with a remote Tesla service.... which the servers hosting that service went down 10 years ago

Ich schaue mir die Videos von Flexiny immer wieder gerne an. Unglaublich wie er die Autos nach einer so langen Standzeit im Freien wieder zum Laufen bringt. Leider sind einige Autos so verrostet, dass sich eine Reparatur nicht mehr lohnt und nur noch als Ersatzteilträger gebraucht werden könnte. Aber es werden einige Autos sind noch gut im Schuss und können sicher wieder auf die Straße gebracht werden.😊

It's absolute madness when you see a vehicle like this composting in a field or scrubland so this bloke breathing new life into it is brilliant getting it properly on the road should give it another 15 years... GRT upload... watched one yesterday I think it was a Russian oil or water Bowser he got everything working and drove it around a field it sounded and looked GRT I just imagine it all fixed up clutch)gearbox and electrics fully working...👍

Ahh those Mercedes vans of the 1980s and early 90s! I remember seeing TONNES of those here in Belgium. Now those models have long disappeared but the recent generation Mercedes Sprinters continue to dominate our roads!

I learnt my trade on these and the early sprinters which basically had the same engine. The only real issue these ever had that I can remember was the gear linkage on side off the gearbox, sometimes they get stuck In two gears did not need no fancy computer just one size fits all spanner (🔨) 😁

Hi. I've found some cars from car selling sites or some are from people. Most of cars are abandoned because they wont pass technical inspection or they have expensive issue to fix, sometimes its cheaper to buy new car. Here is not that hard to sell these cars but nobody wants to pay price that you ask. Most people want to buy cars here for metal price only.

Mercedes is the best quality made car's I watch many videos like this mostly American cars but American can't compare to German in building quality. Mercedes after 15 years no problem like new American after 15 years have to take everything apart to get started 😂😂

In India this vehicle is called tempo traveller manufactured by force motors and only major difference between actual mercedes is they're made from leftover mercedes parts😀!
