I'm good at talking to people, particulary strangers (hell, I'm a teacher, but that's beside the point). I tend to start conversations based on an event or situation we are both experienicing. The tipical example is the bus. When a bus is late, I usually complain about it loudly enougth so my interlocutor can comment on it (generally, agreeing) and I can go on from there. My mom and my sister would not talk at all with strangers (even neighbours) so they are baffled to the fact that I, like my father, can do it so easily. Also, I like M&Ms too. Hell almost any form of chocolate, really.

Hmm I see this a lot online but I think there’s a difference between an introvert and someone with social anxiety (shy). An introvert isn’t afraid to talk to people but they find it drains their energy and so they need alone time to recharge. A shy person or someone with social anxiety, is afraid of social interaction.
