I had a 97 Escort that was still drivable and had nearly 250,000 miles on it. Great little car.

I bought a escort mk6 1.6l 1995 cabrio with 220000km for 600€!! 3 months ago. Unless an uneven idle sometimes, it always has been working well. I did an oil change, coolant change and a power steering change. Next will be a full brake fluid and transmission oil change. Can’t wait to do that! Cool little car.

It wasnt holding idle because of bad idle control valve right ? They usually failed or they got stuck when left unused :(

The escort was most likely parked up for a reason. It’s engine sounds worn out It’s final drive should be to the scrapyard. Unless it can be restored

@@lordwoody8352 door handles Broke, owner couldn't open The Doors from outside, and he was working out of town so he didn't need The car either. It just got abandoned for 5 years
