In this video I talk about how I use Instagram to drive sales. I only use Instagram for my marketing as of right now and this is how I do it for free.
Support the channel and learn a little more about starting and operating your own t shirt business from home. / bigbrandoh
check out "The Business" on www.BigBrandoh.com I break down how to build a business around your heat press. I explain where to buy a good quality press that is budget friendly, where to buy a good cutter for the lowest price, where I buy vinyl and how to start building up your customer list and keep them coming back. All from the comfort of your own home.
For those wondering, you can check out my List of Plastisol Heat Transfer Company's that I use, who I use for single colors, multi colors, who has the biggest gang sheets, who has the best quality for the lowest prices that i've found over the years. It's called "The List" on www.BigBrandoh.com
If you want to learn more about Heat Pressed Patches and find out who I order from and how to order them. Check out my ebook called “the Patch” on www.BigBrandoh.com I break down all the the patch maker terminology and deconstruct different patches in the book to show you what each piece is called. I also give you places to order bulk patches and short runs to help cut cost and give you different options to offer your customers.

I been searching & searching and finally found an awesome video that actually teaches me how to make this happen because lots of the videos I seen just talk & talk and give tips and tricks that kind of help but they not really being honest.

I might try this method. I've done a couple Facebook/IG ads (they can be linked together), but there are different ad categories that can be a bit confusing to a beginner. I've done a couple "Post Engagement" ads, a "Page Like" ad and a "Reach" ad. I think there's also a "Click" ad (for website clicks) anddd that's all I know for sure, there may be more. The only thing was that I accidentally created a "Reach" ad when I wanted a "Post Engagement" ad. I'm not sure exactly the difference between a Reach and Post Engagement ad other than people can't interact with a Reach ad. Post Engagement ads are those sponsored ads where people can like and share that particular sponsored ad. They're pretty cool and inexpensive. You can pay $1 a day and let an ad run for just 7 days or pay $5 a day and let an ad run for 30 days or one that runs unlimited until you manually stop it yourself. I did notice that I made a sale from my very first Post Engagement ad, but that's about it. I'm currently running a Reach ad for 30 days at $1 a day, a Page Like ad for 7 days at $1 a day and a Post Engagement ad for 7 days at $1 a day. I am noticing a trickle of page likes and shares, very small maybe 1-2 likes and shares a day, but it's a process. I also have a Tumblr presence and I notice that they do ads as well, but I haven't tried to make a Tumblr ad yet. My first ever Post Engagement ad ran for 14 days at $1 a day and I followed the dimensions for IG as well, so my ad ran on both FB and IG and I garnered almost 400 likes on that one, so not for nothing the paid ads help to put your brand in front of eyes. Anyways just my current experience with FB/IG ads. Keep doing your thing, BB!

@BigBrandoh

nah im good. if that works for you. thats dope and keep at it. but paying for views and clicks aint my thing. i'd rather put the work in and use the money on more product. too be honest the ROI isnt worth it. this is just my opinion tho, in order for paid advertising to really work you have to have a decent budget and be consistent. theres a reason why big corps have flooded social media marketing. the attention is on the phones. they can drop 5k on social media marketing and target a direct audience vs 40k on filming a 15sec tv commercial that will run for 2 weeks during the afternoon. throwing 5k at social media is a no brainer. but for a start up, you want conversions. thats where our moneys at. a penny a view sounds good, but are you really getting views from potential conversions or is it going to a blanket audience? the algorithm you want is people in your demo who shop online. not people in your demo who just use social media. big ass difference. feel me? the more money you throw at it the better your chances are. because you dont really know where you fall in the algorithm. you say you want to target this age to this age, male, interested in streetwear, basketball, hip hop living in this area. but how you know your not just being viewed by hypebeast that only buy supreme and supreme only. those guys aint buying start up brand clothes cuz theres no hype around it. get me?

There are online tools that automate exactly what you're doing
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 5 жыл бұрын
they can comment personally too? not a generic comment but something related to a photo on their time line? if so, whats the name of this app or online tool. i'd be interested. also is it free?

@@BigBrandoh instazood is one of many
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 5 жыл бұрын
how do you automate commenting on specific stuff in the picture on their page? if the hashtag is #Camaro and their car is green and say i want to comment "what color green is that?" how does that work? i dont wanna just comment with a generic thing like "nice car" cuz the app will pull up the hashtag is searches right?
@realestatemotivator
@realestatemotivator 5 жыл бұрын
@@BigBrandoh not that specific but the comments in the beginning of your video was not that specific. You can have the automated program targeting a certain hashtag and running doing generic comments at the same time you can target another hashtag and still go in and make specific comments so that way its like 2 people working on your account simultaneously. You can also create more instagram accounts and import them into the program to multiply your efforts
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 5 жыл бұрын
gotcha. thats cool man. for me, using the hashtag to find the customer is one thing. but the info in scrolling a customers page and finding out more about them is where the conversion happens. so if i click the hashtag #Camaro and found a customer who owns a camaro, and i scroll their page to see they have a dog also. i can comment on the dog photo to engage with them. with out having to talk about his camaro. say my shirts are made for camaro drivers. i wouldnt have to cold sale them on his car pic. i can get him to check out my page just by asking questions about his dog. get me? its proving to the end user that you arent a bot or a machine or an automated app. because so many people use these apps that its not a real person on the other end. we all see it and notice it.

Fascinating. And doing this every day triples your sales from 1-3 to around 10? How much time (hours) do you spend on this per day? Is this the bulk of your work? And how much profit do you make per shirt if you don't mind me asking. So if you sell 10 shirts a day is that like $100 per day?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 7 жыл бұрын
MrNatantantan any chance i get through out my day, i do this. this is the only way i drive traffic to my site as of right now. i try to engage with 30+ people a day. engage meaning carry a conversation with them in their comments. i dont spam people or just drop my link in comments. i dont disclose how much i make.
@MrNatantantan

Big Brandoh Would you say simply liking a picture is enough for them to check out your page and to drive a sale or do you only get sales from when you have a back and forth?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 7 жыл бұрын
MrNatantantan cant really call it. I do it all day long, not sure if a like got them to my store or the conversation. i can tell you this, the more someone see's your name the more they will be interested in who you are and click to see your page. your products have to do the selling from there. they click to your page and like what they see, they'll go to your site. they dont like what they see, they stop right there and there is no conversion.

@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 5 жыл бұрын
no. i engage with random shit. i let my products sale themselves. the idea is, you select someone that has a common interest in your product. you engage with them, they click on your profile to see who you are, now their eyes are on your products. up to them to go to your site or not. think of it as cold calling someone but this time you have access to shit theyre into.
