Decent advice!! Personally I would NEVER undercut. I would either match or price above. Matching the mall price will still have them like "oh okay, you're the same as the mall and I don't have to drive out there." Actually if you price above at $22, this will give the illusion of "better product". This also give you the option to "discount" or "match" the mall price for them.
@BigBrandoh7 жыл бұрын
Elevation Print & Sign yeah thats cool. for somebody with no portfolio and just starting out, pretty hard to over price a job to get business. why would somebody pay more from somebody that has not proven to provide a quality product? but i see where your coming from. me personally im more into under pricing the competition by a dollar or two, instead of over charging. its always worked for me but im sure your method works for you too. thanks for commenting your thoughts.
@Elevationprint7 жыл бұрын
I get what you are saying. Think of it like this. If people keep under pricing, you are eventually going to drive the market to rock bottom. This would take us all out. You are much better off pricing the same and relying on word of mouth from a great product. Sure, it may take a little longer to build the clientele but you also wont appear as it may be a lesser product. I see the same thing happen in the design world where people want to "build their portfolio" by doing things for cheap or free. This is not a good idea as it sets a baseline that you will struggle with when people come back.
@BigBrandoh7 жыл бұрын
Elevation Print & Sign mannn i really gotta respectfully disagree with that. if i didnt take on free jobs early on when i first started designing i would never be where im at now. now i can charge what i feel my time is worth but when i first started out if i charged what i charge now, i wouldve never got any work. until i built a dope portfolio, and my word of mouth grew. but i was hungry to design when i first started so taking on free jobs or designing for dirt cheap landed me huge accounts now. so in that sense, i have to disagree with you but i understand where you are coning from. if that method works with you, thats dope man.

Give em 2 prices, cheap shirt price and high end shirt price. I prefer to go high end custom with really nice designs that are unique and one off individual shirts. Find out where the people with $$ hang out and get them to see your work, they will want it and will be willing to pay high end for it. ~
@devpac78616 жыл бұрын
Yeah this method works well for me as i price the carded open ended shirts at a more affordable price and the premium garments at a higher pricepoint. If the print quality is good the prices are pretty much justified for the garments.

So , I have a order for 12 shirts ... on the front they want words and a svg and on the back they want a monogram (all done in glitter) majority of the sizes are plus .. what would be a great price for this order and where would be a great place to get the vinyl and shirts .
@BigBrandoh4 жыл бұрын
vinyl can be sourced online if you dont have a store to buy from. if your in Los Angeles, Mclogan or Printer Supply warehouse are two good places. if you shop online, check the link in my description box. as for shirts, you would have to source that locally if you dont have a reseller permit/wholesale license. pricing is gona be based on your labor and material costs. how much did you pay for glitter vinyl, how long it takes you to cut and weed and press those shirts. i dont know what your labor is worth so i cant give you a number to charge. thats something you have to figure out. get me?

My shirts cost is $3 each, my htv is $5 for a 12 by 12 sheet. My cost for one shirt is $8, making 10 shirts, is $20 too much?
@BigBrandoh5 жыл бұрын
you gotta work on gettin your HTV cost down. $5 for 12x12 is really expensive. you can get 5yard roll for $35. i cant tell you if thats too much or too little. i dont know what your labor is worth. cutting, weeding and pressing those 10 shirts should be factored in too

Just starting up my buisness and I'm still questioning the pricing. Hiw much would you charge for a 12x12 costume design on back and a 5x5 on the front left side? They want to buy a bulk load of 25 shirts. I was thinking of 20 bucks and adding 5 bucks for the front logo for a total of 25. Is that a good price. Been watching your videos and you keep it real. Thanks!!
@BigBrandoh5 жыл бұрын
what does it cost you to create the shirt? how much are the blanks, how much are the transfers or vinyl? how long does it take you to create the shirt, did you design it or is it the customers artwork? do you think $625 for 25 shirts is a fair price? would you pay that? the customer can easily take that order to a screen printer and get this job done for $200 or under. $35 for each screen (front and back print) and $5 per print. thats $195 for 25 shirts complete. and thats a high quote. most shops wouldnt even charge $5 a print. you gotta remember. your prices have to be competitive with everybody else around you. usually the more you order the cheaper per piece it is. so a bulk order of 25 should be cheaper per piece than somebody ordering 1 shirt.

What’s the best bang for your buck on a wholesale manufacture???
@BigBrandoh5 жыл бұрын
all prices vary depending on what you want out of a t shirt. Pro club offers heavy weight shirts, not everybody likes this style of shirt but if your customer base likes this shirt, then it should be what you use. because if your customers like heavy weight shirts but you try to offer them a bella canvas shirt cuz the price is better on your end, that could cost you the sale. get me? Bella is a quality shirt but its made for a certain audience. same goes for Pro Club, really good quality shirt but not made for everybody. Generic fitting shirts would be like Gildan or Alstyle. as for bang for buck, i wouldnt know. like i said, i buy blanks based off of who im selling too.

Hey, my name is Sylvester And I own slysport.com. I charge $28 for tees to $34, if print on the back of the tee. I use a drop-shipping company called Printful that does all the work for me. I have a question about pricing. I understand having your t-shirts priced at $20 or under, but if your unable to keep at that price point when your dealing outside cost like, web hosting, legal issues, bank fees, etc....
@BigBrandoh6 жыл бұрын
you gotta try to increase your margin. printful is eating up a big chunk of your profit. they charge $12+ per shirt. if you create the shirt on your own. that same shirt could be created for $2.50-$3.25 this way you can charge $20 for your shirt and increase your margins.

ok, thank you for your time.

How are you pricing larger orders? I've got a few people wanting several shirts made for either their businesses, and race teams. Would you still go ahead and charge the $15 per shirt, or do you give them a little bit of a break for ordering more at once?
@BigBrandoh6 жыл бұрын
Vicky D depends on quantity and labor. you can give them a price break for bulk orders. its up to you on what materials cost and what your labor is worth

@BigBrandoh6 жыл бұрын
you gotta adjust pricing to what you use. not sure what you pay for inkjet transfers and what your competition charges and what your labor is worth. all of that should be considered when you price your items
@CastroVlogs6 жыл бұрын
Big Brandoh if Amazon is selling the same ink everywhere else then you can get a four pack for under 20 bucks labor should be about the same. And the competition Christ is a little more than vinyl. Thank you for making videos your videos have been helping me a lot and hopefully one day soon I can start My Shirt Company
@BigBrandoh6 жыл бұрын
factor in Ink, your transfer paper, your labor and most importantly. Quality. how does your transfers hold up against the competition. your direct competition would be DTG. how do your ink jet transfers compare to DTG. both offer cmyk printing but DTG can print white. your home printer doesnt print white. so you are limited to the t shirt colors you can print on. understand your product before you offer it to your customers. you want returning customers.

@BigBrandoh6 жыл бұрын
all depends on your production cost. also depends on what your customers are willing to pay. i say this, because if it only cost $8 to make the hoody. then tripling your investment for retail would be $24. would make for an easier sale than pricing it higher. get me? so pricing comes down to your personal production cost. the goal is to be affordable and profitable at the same time.
