Hello. Just considering this as an add on to my business and found your video very helpful. I hope it's not too late to ask but I was wondering how you deliver them. I mean do you keep them warm so they're delivered hot or are they already cooled down when you deliver them. Just wondering how that aspect works. Thank you and thanks for the video. Great to hear. We now do them at our storefront. We have a cookie and sandwich store. When we delivered we used an Insulated food bag. Like doordash. I am sure you can find on Amazon. Doordash delivers for us now from our store. Even if they do cool down some the whole bag can be put in microwave for 20 seconds. Boom...Hot again. It is really that simple. I wish you much success. We sell the heck out of them at our store. $7.99 a dozen all day long.

You heat them up with the oven, do you make the donuts though same day typically?

The donuts are pre made and then yes heated up in the oven. I order them from state fair mini donuts when I get low. They are based out of Minnesota. Usually ship fed ex or UPS. I get in about 4 days. I then place them in the freezer at our store. Dees Delicious Cookies here in Arizona! Google State Fair Mini Donuts! Alot of Info on there Website.

I have 2 questions: 1. Have you seen the Lil' Orbits donut machines? Do you think the State Fair donuts are just as tasty as the Lil' Orbits donuts? To be honest, I've never tried the Lil Orbits donuts, but from what I hear they supposedly taste better than other donuts. (I also have never tried the State Fair donuts either). 2. I went to a site that showed the various Lil Orbits donut machines and the prices of each. The site showed 17 machines. Only 1 of the 17 machines was less than $9000 (the price of that machine was $3000 ... it was a semi-automatic donut machine). The other 16 machines were $9000 and up (they were all automatic donut machines). In your opinion, do you think those machines are so much better that it would be worth it to spend $9000 and up?

Short answer no I have not tried them. No I would not pay that kinda of money. I am about starting businesses on a budget. Lil orbits also deal with frying oil, I did not want to do that. When I was selling State Fair Mini Donuts, I liked the flavor and taste, and we got 7.99 a dozen all day. I would do it again. The Investment was reasonable, and we made it work. I am considering buying this machine and going into business (going to fairs and other events to sell the donuts). However, my big concern is having room to put them in a freezer. They said the donuts only have a shelf life of 7 days after thawed and the clock begins ticking from the day they put it in the truck to ship out. From what I understand, it takes about 3 days for them to ship the donuts to a customer. That leaves about 4 days for us to sell the donuts (even less if it takes more than 3 days to receive the donuts). That will be cutting it close for people to get the donuts and secure a location at a fair (or wherever) to sell the donuts. I don't know how people are able do this business on a consistent basis without a big freezer to store all the donuts. When you were selling these donuts, did you have a big freezer at your house to put these in? Do you think people who try to sell these donuts at events would need a freezer to hold the donuts until the time comes for the event (I assume a BIG freezer to hold at least 4 cases)? Or am I overstating the need for a freezer?

Hello, yes you need a freezer. You are overthinking it all just a a bit. Shipping times especially. I always got my donuts and only had a problem one time with a delay from shipper. I notified them and they express shipped more to me at no charge. Regarding the freezer. I had a 7 cubic ft freezer that held alot of donuts. One at home, and one on our cookie trailer. I bought a 3500 generator and it pulled the freezer just fine. Good for you on your decision to do this. I wish you much success. Try not to over think to much. The business is easier than you think. Hi, if you are going to use on a vending food truck, or trailer, yes you will need a generator. Preferably one 3500 or bigger. The unit pulls alot of watts. I had a 3500 on my trailer and it pulled it just fine. Hope this helps and thanks for reaching out.

That machine now serves customers in our cookie and sandwich shop daily. Its still going strong and making us 7.99 a dozen no questions asked. You got this! I wish you success! Social media marketing, Possibly get a vending trailer. I have videos on that! Talk to business owners who would love to have this service. Car dealerships for Instance love having donuts and coffee for customers. My wife and I opened a cookie store and we sell the donuts there. I say if you have the will there is a way. Its a great Idea, farmers markets, flea markets, swap meets. Maybe get a generator to plug in. Fairs. Get you a table, and one of those tents that set up quickly, some signage which you can order from State Fair Mini donuts, and you are off and running. I wish you the best, and I hope this helps. Jim
