Starting My First Disney Pin Trading Lanyard! I want to trade with YOU ALL as a COMMUNITY! :D

Hi guys! I am finally somewhat settled in even though I still have lots of moving boxes to unbox and organize, but that's just a part of a collector's move LOL Living near the Disney World, I have had the pleasure to run into/meet more of you guys than I did in New Hampshire and that had me thinking... I WANT TO DO SOMETHING that is INTERACTIVE as a COMMUNITY when we meet! Disney pin trading was not something I had tried but I knew it was a big part of Disney World experience. So what is better than making that a thing of our community so that everyone has a piece to remember by? I will be adding more pins as I open mystery pin boxes and purchase more packs. I am honestly so excited for this! I will have pins to trade with me at ALL TIMES in my bag so if you do ever meet, please don't be shy to ask to trade pins with me :D
Just as a quick note, I did meet Chad and his family at Disney Hollywood Studios but didn't want to vlog around them to respect their family vacation ^^

Oh girl, you don't know what you are getting yourself into. In 2010 I went with my family to DisneyWorld and decided to start collecting pins because they look cute. I purchased 10 and decided to venture into the pin trading hobby. 8 years later, I have spent somewhere around 10,000 USD in pins, so beware as this is a very dangerous hobby once you get hooked lol.

Alejandro L yes! I am hooked my family and I go to Disney every year but this year we went to a Disney cruise! Let’s just say.. I brought home more than I can fit in my travel bag! I was wearing 2 lanyards that had more pins than they could hold! And they were the ones that were double size! ITS AN ADDICTION!!!!

Oh yes this is VERY true i started collecting cause i liked the cute pins ( also cuz im a hoarder! Lol) and i have one HUGE pin bag, double lanyards, the big binders with so many pages and the safari hat with more pins that it can hold! BEWEAR PIN NOOBIES

remember that some pins are what we call fantasy pins.. some are not really real, people make them then go to the parks and trade them, its a known thing. just a little heads up:)

Another piece of advice - order some locking backs on Amazon (they are super cheap) so while you are at the park the pins don't fall off

Hi Lastic! I am a cast member on Animal Kingdom’s moon of Pandora and work the Flight of Passage attraction. I hang around the parks a lot and am heavy into pin trading :) My personal collection is mostly Stitch so I would love to trade with you sometime so maybe you can get some Stitch pins that are no longer available :)

Also, my tip to you for trading with cast members is to always check with custodial for pins. Many people don’t think to ask them and they tend to have the rarest and most popular pins.

Best place to get trading pins is character warehouse at Vineland you can get pins for 0.99 to 3.99 to get started with and old starter sets for much cheaper the 2018 starter pack you like has been in Vineland for 6.99 try watching Liz linens videos to see what is in the outlet hope this helps xx

Okay, so I literally started my pin collection today. I got my first pin and it was the 3 fairies from Sleeping Beauty and it said Squad Goals. I got it at the Disney store for 50% off and.was totally worth it. I can’t wait to buy and trade more!

Pin Trading is so addictive!! My oldest son and his gf got my 7 yr old daughter and I hooked. We have a corkboard that we keep our good pins on at home and traders are kept on the lanyards. Disney Springs is a great place to trade!!

Oh know how tough that was picking on my last trip to Disney. Got a Stitch one with a plunger on his head and saying "It's one of those days." Using a lanyard I got from work for most of my other pins but that one is propped up on a picture of my old dog with my Mom's US flag pin from work. Both have passed on so that's a reason to keep them there. If still lived down in Florida know would be up a few more times specially to star getting more pins. The deciding will be the hard part always. I do wish we hit the Buena Vista shopping center, dunno what it's called now, and see what could find. Was hoping to find some old Disney show merch.

I will give you a few pin trading tips you might wanna get a pouch to carry spare pin backs in case one falls off. The Disney outlets are very good for buying cheap trading pins and extra lanyards. Cork boards are very good cheap way to display a pin collection. You might want to if your boyfriend is willing to give him a lanyard so he can trade for something he sees that you might want when you are not around.
