Hey Lindsey, don't let these do called experts on YT get to you. We all know that you just bought that dozer new a few months back and you are learning the ropes. As far as pushing dirt with a dozer, soft dirt you can move a mountain, but cutting is a different story. As far as you're having to push it, there's only so much dirt that the blade can handle, before it rolls out the side. You are doing a fine job, love the content and keep them coming.

Lindsey I was going to tell you on the last video that you were getting a lot better on the D3. Your use the blade the correct way. If the soil is hard you use the outside cutting edge to make the cut and push what you have loosened up. Just like you were doing. Like you said the D3 isn't a D6. If your bogging the engine down then your pushing to much dirt. What have I told you lots of times. Just keep doing what you're doing. But how would I know I'm just an Ole Retired Guy that was operating equipment over 40 years ago.😂 Y'all Be Safe Out There Buddy.

You're absolutely right about taking big bites and bogging it the whole way. Thats the least efficient way to run a dozer. From an efficiency standpoint work from front to back and don't push dirt over dirt thats going to get moved ... For clearing topsoil the way you're doing it is very efficient vs. starting with a big bite and pushing it the whole way

Don’t worry about the keyboard warriors at all !! Just keep being you and do your thing !! You have your equipment to fit what you do right now and a lot of it is by yourself !! There are different sizes of dozers and different kind of blades for reasons.. 3’s 4’s 5’s are perfect for finishing ( like you said ) where 6’s and up would be better for pushing more dirt etc….a 6-way blade is good for finishing where a u- type blade is better for pushing dirt longer distances. I’m like you where I hate backing over wash boards but the other thing about that is if you were to try to hog more dirt with your dozer, that 6-way blade will only hold so much dirt so you would be have to cut your push distance in half ! Bottom Line is you have an awesome machine there that many would love to have. Maybe the warriors are jealous! ?? You keep ROCKIN’ and I’ll keep Watchin’. Happy New Year !! 🎸🎸🎤🎤🎹🎹🎸🎸

@blackdogexcavator2110 ай бұрын
I think it depends on the type of blade on the dozer. With the u shaped blade, you can carry more dirt/make a deeper cut. With the straight blade like on your dozer, I was taught to make a thin cut to try and fill the blade up across the whole length of the cut. I don't know what to tell you about that other commenter. Everybody has their own way, so if that's the way he chooses to operate, that's alright too I guess. Keep on keeping on brother.

Hey brother great video, I wouldn't pay attention to the keyboard operator's and their ridiculous wisdom 😅😅 if a man who knows anything about dozer work already knows what that little D3 can do and I guarantee they weren't saying anything about you're operating.
